This Tuesday, 15:30 Eastern time.

Bologna is currently 18th with 6 points in 9 matches - 3 of those points came today after beating Carpi away.
Inter is momentarily top with Fiorentina at 18 points.

Not available: Murillo (time for Ranochia to shine)
Hopefully not available: MI9 capitano

first match thread - jinx, antijinx hoopla boom here begins the winning streak until january

I sense another draw in a series of 5 that we are doing this season.

5wins
1loss
5draws

hit repeat...improving from last season though

yeah, it's definitely an improvement, but on the other hand we also have better players

I'm scared for Jovetić tho, he really needs Ljajić on the pitch or he'll try to do all himself and then he looks fatigued in the 70th minute of every game :/

This is what I want to see against Bologna:

Jovetic
Perisic - Ljajic - Biabiany
Melo - Brozovic
Telles - Medel - Miranda - Santon
Handanovic

Its time to go all out for a win!

I'll go with this...

----------------Handa---------------------
Santon-----Medel----Miranda------Telles
-------------Melo------Kondogbia---------
Biabiany--------Ljajic-------------Perisic---
---------------------Jovetic------------------

I really think that Kondogbia needs this game to get his confidence back. I don't know, now that I look it, it is a pretty fragile eleven but it is against Bologna ffs. We need to win this.

And Icardi benched yeah... but maybe a 60 minute sub would do great for him to maybe score one and gain some scoring confidence back for Roma.

All I hope is that Mancini pulls his head out of his ass and realizes that FC Internazionale Milano has been sick with Guarinitis for the past 3 years.

Guarin is a gem for resultadist coaches like Mancini and Mazzarri so its no surprise he gets so much playing time, because of his "workrate" and his 8 goals and 7 assists per season.

Drop one of Jovetic or Icardi. Ljajic is probably more compatible with Icardi having played with the likes of Gervinho, Itrube and Destro who like to get the ball very quickly. Either that or drop Icardi and play Ljajic with Jovetic and let those two play off each other.

Important question is if we will manage to score more than once this time?! I say nope...depressing

Unless we try this...but Mancini hasn't got the balls for it.

I like the formation but I might actually start Brozovic in place of Biabiany like we did against Juve. I think it brings good balance and he's capable of linking up with the front line still. Biabiany also isn't ready to start if you believe Mancini.

I don't think it's a question if he has the balls or not, this team would just be way to attacking. It would almost be dumb. Because biabiany and perisic aren't going to take a whole lot of defensive work. Another thing is we would have no midfield basically. Melo and Kondo would be DM's to cover up for the 4 attackers and would have to do defensive work, while our attackers have a primary focus of, well attacking. It would mean the connection between attackers and defenders is non-existent.

Have to say that I'm not fond of it.

If you're going to play with Ljajic and Jovetic as forwards then why would we play with wingers because surely crosses for those two are not going to bear much fruit. if anything we should shift back to having Perisic in the hole if we start those two up front.

Also, I am one of the few people who has always liked Biabiany, but he is far more suited to being a bench player against most sides. Bringing him on late in games against tired defenders is the best way to get the most out of his talents imo.

Our match thread openings have become like Inter's style of play... Unimaginative and poor :palm:

Time to bench Icardi

I really get the impression that Icardi is being mis-coached, that he is playing the way he is because he was told to. He was more involved last season, or at least tracked back
