I didn't see the match so can anybody give me a fair unbiased analysis of how Mario performed in this match?

Mota was sneiper in the first half, his through passes were great, one thing for sure from today, MOTA > MUNTARI, faact ! :)

Also, go to church and pray for his cotton-knees, Inter is sronger with him .

And don't worry for Maicon, last year Inter were also without him in Turin, we have a great alternative on his side in Zanetti, plus, the midfield will be Mota, Cambi, Dejo and Sneijder, what do you want more :D .

I really think Mario did good in the first half. Had some nice moves and scored a goal but he looked nervous as usual so Jose took him out at the interval - good move I think. If he hadn't Balo was likely to pick up a second red card...

Despite his solid performance he still looked uninterested at times...

Wow. You care more about Mario's performance than the whole team?

Motta is easily our best technical midfielder, i would say he is even very close to Sneijder, he is essential to our line up.

Balo performed ok, nothing special, he missed goals but he got one.

Baloteli was good, a solid performance, why ? Cause he played in his natural position, as I said in his thread, when he is used as a striker or second striker, he is great and Inter has a benefiet from him, when he is used like a winger, Inter has 10 players, not 11 .

This year he was used as a striker vs Genoa, second striker vs Palermo and today also a partner in the attack with Milito, the result is 4 goals from Straordimario, a great . . . . great future for Inter.

I like that we are using Mancini in any conceivable way. Do you think it is because Mourinho sees something in him or *MUCH MORE LIKELY* we are pimping him out, putting him on display for potential buyers. As if we are saying, no, its not that he's terrible, he's just not right for Inter!

I hope someone buys it, and buys him!

what I also heard, is that in this week Mourinho said that he still trusts Mancini to return to his killer form that he had in Roma... that's why he's playing him, giving more time in the pitch

Forza Milito!!

I would have hoped a player like this would have come to Inter earlier in his career, he is the true defenition of a complete striker, on and off the pitch and his passion and his humble attitude is just amazing, but i hope his next 4 years with us will be as good as this year (until now). :)

Milito is really great striker - it's almost like having Vieri again... By this I mean: goals are guaranteed!

Congratz for this great win.. we was very better than Bologna and we deserved to win, Milito is gonna be nightmare for all defenders in Serie A, he is scoring almost every match, and I hope this will happen and against Barca, hopefully he will be in top form and maybe he can score any goal there..

First half was really interesting, when we scored in 22th minute with Diego Milito, I thought the first half will end with that result but I was very surprised when Zalayeta scored after some seconds, but we really deserved to win.. Balotelli losed some chances but he improved his mistakes and he scored goal in 42th minute..

Grande Inter :star: !!!!

Motta was poor? Offcourse....

That was how I saw it. Not saying I'm right but not saying I'm wrong. Everybody has different opinions on things and expressing them is what we call freedom of speech.

Also, if I am wrong then I'm delighted as it means we played better still than I thought we did. I speak based on what I saw but I have expressed my opinion and that opinion being expressed I will move on to the next point and not dwell on this issue because to dwell on it would simply result in going over the same point which at this stage would be futile as the game is over and to do something futile would detract from what was generally a fine performance resulting in a good win and a good day from which I do not wish to detract.

Why was he poor? I am the first to admit he is a bit slow and a bit lazy but his ball possession, his passing, distribution and ability on the ball is immense and tonight we had alot of posssession and alot of chances thanks to him. What did you see from him that made you see he was poor?

I acknowledge his skill in possession, when passing, distributing and on the ball but sometimes I find his mobility a bit slow when compared to some of our other midfielders. As I said, maybe I am wrong and maybe I missed something today but I'm not saying I'm right or wrong. Anyway, I don't want to get into the realms of running any of our players down, and I have no significant issue with any of them unlike a lot of posters on here, so I will say no more on this issue.

Zanetti.
Yeah seriously. That dude predicted the score even before the game happens.

"I started with Mario because we have three quality strikers. Eto'o will be a starter in Barcelona so I made this choice today to let Samuel rest a bit because his foot still isn't one hundred percent. Mario didn't play for his national team (in the week), he has worked well and he was ready to play today. He played a normal first half, he missed a goal and scored another, and then I substituted him because he had already been booked. He doesn't change his game on the basis of the cards, and experience has taught me not to take risks."
Yep Mourinho is right. :D Spot on.

EARLY MATCH Steamroller Nerazzurri. Bianconeri to 8 points

* Goal by Milito, Balotelli and Cambiasso, Stankovic hit the post twice.
* Bologna overwhelmed (3-1). At the 91st minute, Maicon expelled (risking Juve)

All quiet

* Hisses, boos and racist insults: silence, responded Balotelli.
* Milito-Mario show. And Inter are plus 8.

Milan - Welcome back to the Championship and welcome back to its King with various players from their national teams around the world. Even without Sneijder, the victim of Holland, Inter send Bologna three messages with the goals from Milito, Cambiasso and Balotelli, its competitor Juventus (now at -8) and Milan, which must win today in the league and finally, perhaps the most importantly Barcelona and Inter will face in the Champions League on Tuesday. It was nine months ago, in another dark and wet Saturday afternoon, Mourinho had to thank Julio Cesar for his saves for the decisive 2-1 victory. This time the goalkeeper was almost unemployed, because the highest marks go to the strikers, starting with Milito, and the midfielders, Motta and as usual Cambiasso. But this victory is not the victory of individuals because Inter won hands down based on their technical strength as well as physical, from start to finish showing the maturity of a great team with eleven shots on goal, hitting the woodwork twice from the same shot from Stankovic and a crossbar with Milito.

The key If the best teams plays with the right concentration and they will win at the end. And Inter this time didn't make the mistakes for their opponents. The turning point, however, wasn't the first goal which scored by the feat of Milito, the immediate goal 14 seconds later by Zalayeta, nor when Inter hit the post twice and then went up with the Balotelli's goal. The key here to success here started with Cambiasso and his pass to Milito.

Inter steamroller With the initial preference of Balotelli before Eto'o, Inter confirmed as a steamroller that tramples on the memory of the last 1-1 home match with Roma, with many scoring chances. Cambiasso was the usual impeccable defense director, and he was wasted at that position because as soon as he goes forward..., but Motta also back playing at a high level. Impressive numbers. Scored the goal number 100 since there was Mourinho, and then 101 even 102 and the goals so far thus far are at 32 goals in 13 matches, an average of 2.46 goals per game! And the fact that no one notice the absence of Sneijder makes the victory even more impressive. One small problem, Maicon was rejection at the end of the match on the eve of the games with Fiorentina and Juventus.
