It has been announced that Cauet, a former player of ours of course, will become the new coach of the Giovanissimi Nazionali (U15) squad. Good luck to him, hopefully he can repeat what Salvatore Cerrone managed last season. Notably, he scored 104/110 in the test for his coaching badges, which can only be a positive sign.

On a side note, I'm kind of surprised to see the placing of some of our former players in this forum, and that Cauet never had his own thread already. Another example, why is Giuseppe Baresi in this section but Ivan Cordoba gets put in La Grande Inter automatically? I feel he deserves better than that, even if Franco overshadowed him a bit. He played 559 matches for us and won 5 major trophies during that time, and if that doesn't deserve to be part of La Grande Inter, then I have no idea what is. Yes, Baresi is staff, but so are Cordoba and Figo, and they are both there...​

Good point about Baresi. But i wouldn't get carried away about Cauet

I knew that Cauet was Inter Player of the Year 1999 but I didn't know that he captained our team.

No, I don't believe that Cauet deserves to be in La Grande Inter. He did well for us but wasn't a long standing great. Baresi on the other hand is an Interista that spent all but two years of his footballing career with us, and has continued working with us after his playing career is over. I think his thread needs a poll about this tbh.
