Hey so I know there is plenty of people here from the Bay Area and I was wondering if you guys go anywhere to watch the games (strictly asking about futbol)?

I know there are some bars around here that play futbol, but the only one I've actually been to is Double D's @ Los Gatos maybe we can make a list or something.

Also if anybody is down to gather to watch the games that are around noon at the same bar/restaurant that'd be awesome, since everyone I usually watch with are fans of EPL clubs or La Liga's two horses

Anyways I'm just spitballin here since its pretty annoying being the only Inter fan in my group of friends who watch futbol! :alone:

I'll try to help :p

Kezar Pub - San Francisco, this was my fav place to watch matches when I lived in the city, don't go there much anymore after I moved further away. Only ever saw a couple Inter fans there though - I was there for Inter/Bayern match last year and it was mostly Bayern fans and neutrals.

Englander - San Leandro, they have a bunch of TVs so they will always put a match on for you as long as it's on FSC, FSC+, or GOLTV. Only downside is they don't put sound on except for the CL final which they host in a private room.

Anyway those are the two I've been to. There used to be an Italian place right by my house that would show Inter matches but the owner had to get rid of FSC cause he couldn't afford it.

Why have I never heard of that one? bah. I don't know much about the stuff in the South Bay though, typically I'm just streaming games.

Yeah I mostly stream too and I get FSC at home but I go out for the big matches. I normally hang out at La Catalana now for Barca matches, not sure if they'd ever show Inter matches but I can talk to the staff about it. At least that's closer to you guys than the other places I mentioned.

Oh right you are still on winter break, I was thinking you were in San Jose :D

They should show it, if you ask. They have like 20 TV's lol, and the game's on GOL TV so they've got the channel. If you're worried, call them before you go over.

Well, I went in there to watch it, they were a little confused when I showed them my scarf not knowing who Inter was. The waitress was thinking "WTF is this team??!?!" She was claiming how people only care about the Premier League and La Liga when coming.

Once I said the channel though, I had no problem. It was kind of funny being the only one there caring about the match.

Yeah even for when I've gone there to see Barca or Liverpool matches, unless it's a big important match there are hardly any other people there watching it. Which is why I moved to La Catalana for Barca matches.

Now is there a bus stop or a Lightrail stop nearby La Catalana? I see on the map where it's on a main street. But then again, they only care about Barca there considering it's title right? I'd probably be dead caring about Serie A in a place like that.

lol the staff keep trying to get madridistas to go there during El Clasicos so there's more "atmosphere" but none ever show up :D

Yeah there is a stop on Tasman right before you get to 1st St.

Obviously they mostly only care about Barca :p and I'm not sure on all the channels they get since they usually only put on the ones in Spanish.

Is that going to be a pay channel though? That would be awesome if it wasn't so I don't have to stream Barca matches anymore. I can already watch EPL and Serie A since I get FSC with my satellite package but Dish Network doesn't carry GolTV.

PS: That Sportivo restaurant/bar in Berkeley I mentioned, I think it was in another thread, is affiliated with Palermo (found this out on a recent drunken escapade) but I'm sure they will show Inter matches there, they've got 2 TV's in the bar area.

I'm still stuck on streaming :(. I did check the sportivo website and saw the Sicilian stuff there.. makes perfect sense. Did you see a pink banner or something to know they like Palermo?

We should all go up for the Euro matches some time! Definitely not looking forward to the drive, but it'd be a fun morning/day

And I have no idea if its going to be included in sports packages or be its own separate expense! Whatever it is, I'll definitely be buying it when I move into my new apartment :D

Yeah in the bar area there's a Palermo crest on the wall.

Looking to do an Italy match?

Italy v Ireland, 18th June? I *think* it's on at 11:45 for us, and it's the only one of Italy's matches in the group stage that will be on while the place is open - the others are all on too early.

Majority of June is busy for me. Bleh... Watching the final on July 1st regardless of who's in wouldn't hurt though.

Depends on who it is - if it's Spain I'll likely be at La Catalana :)

I'd be the only one rooting against Spain too! :p. Unless it's France.
