I look at the photo above of Esposito and Godin and cannot help but think that the former is simply loving it: loving being with the first team; learning with the first team; enjoying every experience and exposure; and soaking it all up in terms of being in Barcelona on the biggest stage in European football. But above all, the cockiness in his smile betrays how he wants to get amongst it and fuck things up with his fellow black and blue boys.

Forza Inter!

cant wait to see what our strikers do LOL

Sanchez will probably use his brain to stay on the ball in dangerous positions (should the ball ever reach him in dangerous positions), and look for quick one-two's to move the ball around and make space for a chance. Lautaro will probably squander every one of those chances by either shooting like a 12 year old girl or backheel flicking the ball to no one in particular. That's ultra-cynic mode: ON

Jokes aside, we need to keep the ball on the ground, unfortunately. With Lukaku's absence, we don't have the option of playing long balls or trying to beat them for pace or power up front. Sadly, Lautaro and Sanchez are both slow as shit and neither can hold the ball up particularly well. We'll do well to draw as many fouls near their box as possible with Lautaro / Sanchez, so their diving game better be on point :yao:

Realistically, we're going to have about 25-40% of the ball, max. We need to use what little possession we get, smartly. That means no long balls from de Vrij. That means no fucking trickery bullshit from Lautaro. No losing the ball under pressure in midfield from Brozovic or Sensi. No getting caught in transition and conceding a counter attack with our WB's out of position. That means making set pieces count, so no fucking short corners that don't even reach the box.

I think our best chance to get a goal is to try play our game in the precious few moments of possession we get. Keep a cool head and try evade / work through Barca's pressing, and see what we can do with the ball.

With Lukaku out we'll probably end up starting Lautaro and Politano up front.

there is like a total zero end product between those two, im talking about Jmario level of finishing

Yeah this. And of course it all requires huge defensive effort from the whole team. Our saviour might be that Barcelona is on a downtrend and Messi is not fully fit. He's surely going to come in at the second half if the score is not favourable to Barcelona.

No one can't be cocky at all (looking at you Candreva), they should all just work super hard if they want to get a result out of this. What I don't like is that we have even more important game coming in the weekend.

I have a feeling it won't be Candreva, Conte is more likely to start D'Ambrosio in a tough away game. Though I would prefer Candreva for this one, we need to take the game to Barca.

First game that Conte will be pissed that we didn’t buy Lukaku’s back up.

Okay, but then, D'Ambrosio's antic is that simulates a foul and gets caught. Hopefully he's on his A game today if he starts.

It seems like we are going for our strongest possible lineup based on our roster and player characteristics. Hopefully we can get something from the game, that's the massive momentum spike we need, not just ahead of the Juventus game but for the entire season. Winning here changes everything even if it's just 3 lousy points in group stage at the end of the day.

Our midfield has to be 110% ready for this and not let Barcelona take full control and our offensive players should bury the few chances they'll get. Their defence is quite weak but we need to focus the game there to take advantage of it. Luckily they're going for a 4-3-3 with inverted forwards so we shouldn't be worrying too much about their wing offense. A draw here is doable, a win possible.

The front line is quite simple to predict: Lautaro is our only forward who is somewhat close to lukaku in terms of holding on the ball and helping the team get past the midfield; Sanchez has way more international experience than politano and can't play against juventus.

I will make my own prediction for the right flank: we will see Lazaro there.

Yes, we have to defend against Barcelona in camp nou, but if we play too much of a defensive football, that's where we get crashed.

And I believe his speed can help the team a lot.

As for the rest of the starting 11, what is predicted is most likely what we are going to see.

I think Lazaro should be on the bench for this one. His pace could come in very handy. DD might offer defensive reinforcement but he was a non-factor going forward in last years game at the Camp Nou.

Winning here not only changes everything for Inter, but changes history as well. Barca is unbeaten at home in the VL for 8th straight season. Winning here actually puts all the spotlight on Inter.

I seem to consistently forget about the existence of Busquets until I end up watching Barca or Spain play. If we can't get a useful result tonight, I hope that at the very least Brozovic gives him the Felipe Melo treatment.

Looking at their line-up, yes, they really are beatable. In any case, it will be an interesting game, can't wait.

Man, this week we are spoiled by games, today this and just a couple of days after Derby d'Italia.

Brozovic and his backpack

Just wanted to mention because that’s literally the most entertaining stuff in the video  that kind of backpack with the stupid font you’d find in those little traditional local market in your town.

It confuses me the way Martinez has the face of a killer, focused and determined man with no smiles yet he is not as cold in the pitch and mostly a choker in fron of the net.
