I just think that you guys are taking this way to seriously... Regardless of being black or not, I really don't think he meant it to look down on Maicon, but he just said it for the fact of saying words.. Just like when we call you brother or Han and Sun gay? We're not trying to be homophobic but simply just fibbing or using words..

The internet defines racism as: discriminatory or abusive behavior towards members of another race.

Being black, racism shouldn't apply here... but another thing, I think the moderators really need to review their rule on racism. Right now, it basically says no racism is tolerated at all end of story, leaving us with situations like this where a one click ban may be viewed as unjust.. I mean, if F U C K Milan doesn't get banned what is going to stop other black users, myself included: From saying GOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL MY CAMEROONIAN NIGGA, every time Eto'o scores and when asked on it just call the F U C K Milan rule? I mean, I share Eto'o's race and I am not being abusive or discriminatory. At the same time, if you are going to ban a guy for racism, should you also have a hard line on homosexuality? I mean is it not hypocritical to ban a black guy for calling another black guy monkey, but then make homosexual jokes?


With that being said, I am in no way, shape or form trying to undermine the mods here, or to tell them how to do their job, racism is a terrible thing but I simply believe that they are too hard on words in their fight against racism. It's one thing to be racist and I believe that it's another thing entirely to simply use words...

This is one of the points that we're currently arguing about. It's the same in Indonesia. Monkey = Stupid; it's not a racial insult.

I admit it's difficult because with cultural differences what may be offensive to one person isn't offensive to another, however because there are a wide variety of ethnicities and cultures here I think there might need to be a better outline of what is and isn't allowed.
