The key difference is that Napoli didnt have any experience in CL also zero experience in winning titles from knock out stage, which, Inter and Inzaghi truly experienced and have. Call me biased but last year's Napoli had a worse goal difference than we have now, we demonstrate better football for the viewer and as far as I can remember when we beat Napoli in January 2023 we were first in the table of Serie A (correct me if im wrong). Our defence this year is not comparable at all with Napoli which as you mentioned they only had the best attack but inexperienced defence.

Also it is Inzaghi who we are talking about , I hope and I think people will recognize how good he is in CL and cup games by knowing him as a regular showing up in finals in the future. I think people has only scratch the surface of Inzaghi right now, that are a lot more.

If I remember correctly Spalletti got owned 7-1 once with Roma, even he has evolved and overall I think he is a good tactician, but something is lacking in his CL games, despite the 7-1 he was also quite unlucky in some sense, like xG was not a thing back then, but pretty sure the xG is nowhere near 7-1.

Atletico is freakin dangerous, they 100% won't be scared of us imo They should be, for all the obvious reasons--this Inter is really something formidable--but they won't be.

Simeone has been playing vs one of the best Barcas and Reals ever for almost more than a decade now and beat them, they are battle tested, which is irreplaceable. It's gonna be hell imo

The only question here is can atletico level up from that performance they v put in the first game. I know our level, and we probably played a subpar game in that first match, especially in midfield, and it ended up being enough.

I don't think they can go much higher than what they showed in milano but we'll see I guess. That's one of the reasons why I feel confident ahead of this match.

I know its unpopular opinion in this forum but I think that Atletico is favorite in this game. I didnt watch them this season except in games vs Real and they were really good. Especially in that first game in LaLiga when they smashed them. On their day they can beat everyone.

So you've seen then, max, in five games this season? Your forming an opinion based on having seen them play five games from a team that's played, I dunno, close to 40 games by now?

You immediately rule out any credibility to your posts when you say that. You're far more familiar with our weaknesses while being blissfully ignorant to whatever weaknesses Atlético has.

Nobody's saying a 1-0 agg lead going on the road in the 2nd leg is a done deal, but quit making Atleti seem better than they are. This is not mid-2010s Atleti that was impossible to breach and had some fantastic Champions League triumphs. Furthermore, there's no reason to be doubting our capabilities. +61 goal difference overall, it's the best in Europe. Our overall body of work has been incredible, and Inzaghi's record in cup competitions speaks for itself.

Btw, one other thing that I couldn't even really include in that table...everybody talks about Atleti's fantastic home record in the last 13 months or so. It's true, they've lost only one home game all season, in addition to one other game which ended in a draw. You know how many away games we've lost this season? Zero. We dropped points away to Juventus and Genoa in Serie A + Real Sociedad and Benfica in the group stage, and that's it. Every other away game we've played this season has ended in a win.
