Apart from a few attacks from Hakimi, which were a couple of counters and a very nice one-two with Sanchez, our most dangerous attacks were a shot by Lautaro which was a chance gifted by the Udinese defense and a Barella shot on the volley after a set piece.

Martinez and Hakimi also fucked up the most. Possibly 2 of the worst players on the pitch.

But thats ok. They are young and developing fast, there are bound to be off days.

Worst players were Young (automatic choice), Bastoni and Lukaku... Hakimi wasn't at his usual level but he was one of our best players in this shitfest trying to make something. Lautaro wasn't great either, but he was the least of our worries.

Anyone else think Conte's reactionary outburst (reportedly because of the "short" stoppage time) was suspiciously over the top?

First of all, 4 minutes seemed appropriate - no goals, no goal celebrations, no lengthy injury antics on the pitch. What was he arguing for - 1 or 2 minutes more?

All the "pazza" fans casually reacting to 4 minutes of stoppage while this lunatic, who ironically declared "no more pazza inter", starts barking at the ref over measly 1 minute stoppage time.

Conte is either menatlly unstable or he's diverting responsibility again so that (when he fucks up at the end of the season) he can say "remember when the mean Lega banned me? We would have won otherwise"

When most of the team sucks, sometimes a bad performer is one of the best of the lot.
Hakimi was more active than others, acted to get more responsibility, sure it didn't work great for him but he has every right to be aggravated by Lukaku for messing up a potential tap in situation as well as in other cases where he took the attack but the move from the attack, ie Lukaku, was just not there.

You can blame the last person who touches the ball all you want, but that just makes you seem like you don't understand football as much as you'd think.

Lukaku was awful and he's in a slump over the last month. Hakimi just had an off game as did Barella. Nothing alarming about this, the fact that you expect him to outperform everyone else while Lautaro (not really) and Lukaku get a pass from the fans is actually very irritating.

I'd start him vs Milan, but he needs to be benched for Benevento and perhaps Fiorentina as well..if only Sanchez could play 3-4 games straight for 90 minutes.

This thread could be useful for a study of some reverse Halo effect when it comes to judging Conte.

Sanchez is generally much better coming off the bench than starting games. Also starting him for 4 games straight means we have one player who offers absolutely no goal threat whatsoever as he can’t seem to score unless it’s from 2 metres out. Given Conte playing a mostly defensive midfield we’d be screwed if someone like Hakimi has an off game.

Sanchez may be weak at scoring with us, but no goal threat? Come on, it is evident that when Sanchez gets lots of minutes we create more and better chances.

He sees runners and open lanes, in a timely fashion too. Ball distribution is also spot on usually unlike Lukaku who either messes up the pass or takes too long, or unlike Lautaro who overdribbles or fails to see the correct pass. He also attracts defenders far from the defensive line which opens up room for others. None of our two strikers carries such an effect on a defense.

We are so much better with him playing, the only problem is that he needs another guy to be pressing, which is why the duo of him and Lautaro will always be superior to him and Lukaku as the Chilean is expected to do everything for Lukaku and obviously he's not 23 anymore to run 90 errands for minutes as well as lead the offensive line.

Not always in a timely fashion. He sometimes dwells on the ball too much - check out Borussia’s goal against us as an example. He is great at finding Hakimi most times though. His finishing is a serious issue. Having 1 of the strikers being unable to score other than from 5 metres out is a big problem.

At the end of the day we are paying the guy a pretty hefty salary and he’s either injured, coming back from injury or not offering enough. Having 2 goals in the season just doesn’t cut it.

I’m forgetting the Scudetto madness talk and I’m just hoping we don’t drop out of the top 4 at this point.

Below 2nd position is unacceptable IMO... i think the target is either scudetto or coppa.

Not getting excited for his wins. Not getting down on his losses. Only thing that matters is the end result. Every coach has ups and downs, and you have to give them a chance to prove themselves, even if it's douchebags like this dude.

It's scudetto or bust. I don't want to see him here next season if he fails to win.

Idiot twins Brozo and Barella could neither pick a yellow against Udinese?

Benevento would have been a perfect match to skip.

And match suspensions to coaches apply to Coppa? Because player suspensions do not (re: Donnarumma).

It doesn't matter if Conte is suspended for the Derby. He doesn't make any tactical changes during a match.
