I know it's a little different but we were saying the same thing last year about Quaresma... The whole situation and the speculations surrrounding Cassano is very Moratti and Co if you know what i mean. They are highly capable of keeping this wrapped... Lucio was a good example.

Quite useless theory. I don't believe a second Mourinho wants Cassano ahead of a useful midfielder. At least that would be something new from Mourinho, which isn't automatically a bad thing.

Steel midfield without much pace and creativity behind the trio of Cassano-Milito-Eto'o who everybody play pretty free role, latter two trying to help in defence. Hell, I'd like that. Inter won't success in CL anyway so why not bring Cassano to offer some magic and joy to the fans.

Of course not. That can be said to no other club either. But being favourite, that you can say for couple of clubs. Hopefully we can say that for Inter too in some year, but in close future I don't see that happening (unless we manage to get Cassano + good midfielder this summer, that would be good basis to build on).

You can also add Sneijder is now liked by Pellegrini and Ederson is too expensive. Cassano could be good in a 4-3-2-1 formation but when it comes to the defensive cover Mou seems to wants from our new number 10 he seriously lacks it. But we have to admit there are no option so I'd get Cassano considering that we also need to bolster up our attack because our two solid strikers imo are Milito and Eto'o. Balotelli still needs to improve, Suazo isn't anything special and Arnautovic is injured and his skills are still unknown. So Cassano would be a smart transfer at this point in the mercato.
