I wonder if his poor crossing is in part due to how hard he works. A lot of times today it seemed like he expends so much energy taking the ball down the wing that by the time he is in a crossing position, he's too exhausted to look around and put in a better cross.

Overall a very good game. Just before being subbed off he very skillfully maneuvered past a Napoli player near the right corner flag very deep in our half. That just goes to show how much he works his ass off.

It's clear he listened to the FIF Podcast and wanted to make ADRossi, Pimpin and me happy. He seems like a man possessed atm.

I did suggest at the beginning of the season that Candreva's performances should improve now that he has a proper coach who knows how to use the wings. There is still some way to go before we see the real Candreva, the one who used to score 10+ goals a season for Lazio. But I am enjoying his performances now, love the way he tracks back. There was this move yesterday when he took the ball from our corner and got past 2 players to start a counter. Awesome stuff.

The last two games especially hes been forced to do a lot of defending. Lets hope in pur upcoming games he can use his good form in more attacking areas. Will be interesting to see.

I thought Candreva had a very good first half. Icardi and Perisic get all the praise (quite deservedly), but IMO Candreva and Valero don't get praised enough for their work. Both looked exhausted by the 60th minute, but before that they were really good.

Why didn't Spalletti start Eder over Candreva last night?! I'm sure Eder would have found many ways to score last night if he had started from the beginning. On the other hand Candreva just misses every chance he has to score.

Please coach try Eder over Candreva just for once!

Had the most passes distributed in all the game
Then got tired in the second half...should subbed him off for Eder...
Improved a lot since the shitty start of the season tho...his games against Genova, Benevento,Crotone were very shit but he was great against Bbilan,Napoli and Samp

I think you have Benevento confused with Bologna. I think Bologna was the shit one. He was great against Benevento and had that amazing assist. That was actually the start of his improvement in performances.

candreva played a great game last night for 75 minutes, then he was gassed and should have been subbed with karamoh.

there have been plenty of fair occasions to criticize him since he joined us, but last night was hardly one of them
