I've been trying to hold off on Dragonball Super until the English dub started but I couldn't hold back from watching it since the new Trunks saga started. It's been crazy good and above old DB standards.

Been loving the new Trunks arc so far. I just hope they don't fuck it up. As for the English Dub, it'll be a while. They still have to air the Kai Buu Saga in the U.S. (50 something episodes), and then they'll get to Super.

I wish they'd just skip the first two arcs of Super, which were just a shittier retelling of the movies. Complete waste of time and turned a lot of people off.

Ive totally avoided DB Super as it looked extremely poor, watched a few EPS and felt like they had truly run out of ideas.

Do I need to watch any of this to see the trunks saga? I'm glad to hear that you guys seem to like it, I just hope it continues that way.

No I started watching from the first episode of the new Trunks arc. Nothing really special happened before.

They've really upped the quality though, especially from a visual point of view. Everything is animated a lot better than it was during the movie retellings.

I don't know why people get bothered by "filler" stuff in anime. When I watched Naruto, I literally just skipped half the show because of filler, and it was awesome. I think especially in North America people expect every single episode to be super important, but that's not how they do it in Japan. There are a lot of "useless" episodes in long running series. You have to know which ones to avoid.

Anyhow, word is they just started working on Super dub.

Remember they did Yu-gi-oh abridged sometimes where it was mainly the main plot. Do they still do it

A lot of people were saying the latest DBS episode where Trunks visited Gohan was boring or pointless, but tbh I think it was the most important one so far LOL. The smallest of scenes or dialogue in that episode tell the most imo.

Anyways I'm really enjoying it obviously, can't wait for the next episode in about 2 weeks time.

I hoped for a different fate for you know who, but I really enjoyed that they give him closure.

Abridged is just taking the piss out of the shows though :D

My favorite Anime was Kenshin. Trust and Betrayal movie was amazing.

Any way saw the live action one !!!!!! Man was it awesome sucks it will get no love in the US because movie goers are racist as fk and won't watch it if no white people are in it. The fight scenes were very well shot. Forget what the 2nd season Villian was called but he looked a little stupid as they defiantly tried to be very true to the show.

Guess it came out in Japan in 2012 but just came out here. 3 movies

That's Shingo Aoi, one of my favorite Captain Tsubasa characters and that's from his chapter in the Captain Tsubasa World Youth manga where he joins Inter.

I first saw him in the J series of the cartoon and his story stuck in my head of all the characters... well him and Jun Misugi. :(

HMM never saw this one. Damn i never new that any of them ended up playing at inter makes me love this series even more.

EDit: on a side note did they even have a game of this? When i enter tsubasa inter on youtube there comes a clip but it s only anime at first when the game starts it looks like an old video game.

Not all the manga story has been made into anime. In fact ,manga's story is way longer.

By the way, a new Captain Tsubasa series is in the works

^ I think that's a legitimate published "what if" manga where Yamcha is the hero in DBZ

wtf is this shit?

When will these people learn anime movies are always going to be shit?

Anime is a medium not a genre...It's like taking an opera starring Pavarotti and making it into a Hollywood musical or something. It's not going to work. The whole point of anime is to heavily use fantastical elements, that unless you have some $400 million budget it will fall flat on its face.

Anyone else watching Attack on titan season 2? They made us wait 4 years for this shit and it's so underwhelming. And fucking annoying that you have to wait a week for a 18min episode :/

And now I found out that Food Wars season 3 is only going to be 13 episodes :fffuuu:

Iv'e always loved dbz, but super dissapointed me so much. Waiting all those years for this.. It's all light hearted and the seriousness has been taken out of it. No matter how much I try, I cant like the new characters or storylines.

Also the way trunks killed Zamasu in the last ark was so random.
