Yes, true, I remember it vividly.

It was my wedding night, me and the misses were in a hotel room, she was demanding attention but my eyes were locked on the tv. She was annoyed but I just couldn't get my eyes off the screen!

I made sure when I reserved the room that they showed the game.

I left the wedding hall (or ballroom or whatever) sooner than her, got to the hotel and started watching the match. Then later on when she called me to go pick her up, I waited until half time to go pick her up. It worked and I made it for the second half

Another failure for Stramala. He has just got fired from Panathinaikos. I am actually surprised it took their president so long to fire him. Their season is basically over already. They're not winning the league which was their main goal, they're out of Europa League and they need a miracle not to get eliminated from Greek Cup's first round after losing to a team of Greek second division. What makes things even worse are that he failed even after president giving him full access on transfers and after giving him their biggest budget under his precidency.

How the team played under his lead? Because Udinese played shit when he was there.

They were playing really bad. Last year was terrible but he had the excuse that team wasn't his own. But things didn't get better this year. They had serious fitness issues after September. They had many injuries, like in all Strama's teams. There were even rumours he had lost the dressing room even though he had brought most of the players to the team. His decisions during the games were really bad. He managed to make the team even worse with his changes. I even remember a game ending up in a draw even though they were winning with 2-0 and the opponent playing with 10 men only because of his changes. He tried to turn Ledesma(former Lazio player) into his Pirlo by playing him in front of defence in his 3-5-2 in most of his games this season but it didn't really work out. Lack of results made things even worse because Greek fans hate tactics with 3 in the back. He even decided to use ritiro to turn things around but not even that helped. There was so much pressure from fans and media and in the end president decided to give in and fire him.

Probably the last big club we hear from Stramala unless he takes a serie B team and works wonders. Shame. always liked him, but clear now he actually sucks. He lost his balls while at inter.

Greek fans and Inter fans have plenty in common. You'd think Stramaccioni would have wised up after his experience here.

Strama is now officially the new Sparta Prague manager

Stramaccioni appointed manager

Andrea Stramaccioni will be the manager in the upcoming season, as the current coaching staff led the team for the last time on Saturday against Slovácko.

Stramaccioni signed a 2-year deal on Saturday. He will soon be joined by his colleagues from Italy, but will also have the chance to cooperate with current coaching as well.

41 years old coach had led youth teams of AS Roma or Internazionale. With Internazionale juniors, he won the 2012 NextGen series, the predecessor of the UEFA Youth League. On the senior level, Stramaccioni led Internazionale, Udinese and Panathinaikos.

In previous days, Stramaccioni had the chance to see the team facilities both at the GENERALI Arena and at the Strahov training ground, having the chance to meet some of the team employees. In the upcoming weeks, the manager is going to focus on the squad management together with the board.

Grazie Strama per prendere BiaBia

Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is reporting a deal is all-but done, after the Coach specifically requested Biabiany instead of Emanuele Giaccherini.

Andrea Stramaccioni reportedly risks the sack at Sparta Prague after a poor start to the season.

According to Sport.cz, Stramaccioni has been given an ultimatum by Sparta of winning their next games “at all costs”.

The former Inter and Udinese boss moved to the Czech capital back in May, but his reign started with elimination from the Europa League third qualifying round at the hands of Red Star Belgrade.

Sparta have since won just three of their opening seven games in the League, leaving them already 10 points behind leaders Viktoria Plzen.

“I want to win every game,” said the 41-year-old after his side’s unconvincing 1-0 win against second-tier Znojmo in the Cup.

Stramaccioni, who is joined at the Generali Arena by ex-Nerazzurri winger Jonathan Biabiany, was also dismissed by by Greek club Panathinaikos at the end of last year.

Hopefully this won't mean Biabiany will be back.
