Maybe because the owners want the sales and it's hard to sell?
Still, there doesn't seem much interest in doing it the hard way as it'd require even more risk I suppose in getting replacements for our unloaded junk.

I think people need to calm down a bit. We won the title nearly two years in a row with a crippled handa in goal. I’m disappointed as Onana is heading towards world class status but we aren’t going to crumble without him.
Without any GK, you are just a GK less.
Without Onana, you are 1 GK and 1 CB less.

With Onana, we would be one of the scudetto chasers. Without, we would slot right top4 chaser imo.

This management, man. Go all in on 20th scudetto and Coppa and UCL. Sell him next summer on max value. Could be +25M€ easily.

Disappointed.

Never say never with this management and grandpas but i can't take seriously the rumours we're gonna sell Onana and replace him with Keylor Navas or Lloris.

This post hits it on the point. Onana made the first team on the accounts of his showstopping ability, but he should stay here on the account of his ball playing ability. Obviously late into a losing final the GKnwill always come out more but he was literally a ball playing CB for us.

I hope we really seriously consider before accepting any offer for him. He's one of the absolute last players I would want to leave this team. Perhaps the very last.
Only applies with Julio Cesar.
Both Toldo and Handanovic were elite level when they arrived. Onana wasn't even convincing enough to dethrone an out of shape Handanovic from the get go.

But he's grown on the team and the defense got kind of used to his style. Would be a shame to see him gone after 1 season, but if we get Chelsea to throw 80m, sure. Thanks and goodbye.

If our idea is to get Chalobah, Lukaku and Koulibaly, then for all that's holy in this world, just keep Onana...
Yes, you are right. I wrote few times here, and I will say again: it is much easier to find good player than GK. Also, he has CARACTER, and I have impresssion that other players like him.

It would be interesting to see him in the field, for example with the score 4-0 in our favor, to let him play at striker role, it would be cool if he was able to play well there.
a gk isn't safe from 'small' fouls if he plays in a different position and players are usually cunts

he would get injured fast

The direction in which things appear to be going in relation to Onana is not very positive. Our alleged first choice option in Vicario has signed for Spurs and it is clear that we are now scrambling to find a starting keeper. Personally, I do not think it bodes well for the future and next season.

Without an adequate replacement, Onana should be untransferable. However, the allure of fifty million + add ons is an offer that the club cannot turn down, even if the transfer of Onana to another club is to our own detriment.

At the start of window i remember Onana minimum price is 70m - 80m. How does it goes down to 50m in less than a month and after we almost receive transfer fee from brozovic? Plus he still have contract until 2027 which means we still have 3 years before we panic sell him.
And on top of that we want to use the transfer of Onana to get Lukaku? Why? It doesn't make sense.
Is something happen during last season between Onana and the squad? Or Simone really need Lukaku for his tactic (what about Thuram?)

"Manchester United are closing in to secure the signing of Andre Onana in a deal worth £43million+ from Inter Milan.

According to Sport MediaSet, Man Utd are just a step away from luring the Cameroonian international in the summer transfer window."

Maybe is happening?!
"Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is now in England to potentially complete André Onana’s sale to Manchester United.

Corriere della Sera today state that Manchester United are ready to put €50 million on the plate for Onana and Ausilio is in London to potentially close the deal for the Cameroonian"

If we sell Onana first, why do not close Frattesi's deal, instead to wait for Brozovic to leave?

If you sell Onana, then priority becomes GK, not midfield.
