Name in home country: Alex Teixeira Santos
Date of birth: Jan 6, 1990
Place of birth: Duque de Caxias Brazil
Age: 26
Height: 1,73 m
Nationality: Brazil
Position: Midfield - Attacking Midfield
Foot: both
Player's agent: Gortin Promoções Ltda
Current club: Jiangsu Suning
In the team since: Feb 5, 2016
Contract until: 31.12.2019

Weimin Sun, the vice president of SCG, spoke with Rai after the press conference: “Our target is to take Inter at the top of Italian and European football, and if Jiangsu’s players can help, we would be happy. Inter are not in a very good period, but this situation allowed us to join them in partnership.”

The Suning Group’s proposed investment in Inter could reportedly see Alex Teixeira arrive on loan.

The Chinese consortium confirmed today that they are in negotiations for a “strategic co-operation” with the Nerazzurri, with the conglomerate expected to buy around 20 per cent of the club.

According to Premium Sport, that could open up the possibility of a swap deal between the Beneamata and Jiangsu Suning, with Teixeira arriving on loan in exchange for Felipe Melo.

Teixeira joined the Chinese Superleague club from Shakhtar Donetsk in January in a deal worth around €50m.

Inter Coach Roberto Mancini has admitted that his side need to score more goals, so the attacking midfielder could be the ideal solution, having scored 26 goals in 25 games for Shakhtar before moving to China.

Dream player but with today Suning deal he is a realistic target from now ;) Perfect replacement of Jovetic or Eder for Example!

He can come for totally free loan, no fee, no wage, JS Suning can continue to give him that wage! FUCK FFP

Not sure how this would conceptually work with Banega tbh. Those two, combined with Erkin makes us way too vulnerable defensively. I mean, we need squad depth with us being in the EL but

I think you are overstating it Adrossi. We will most likely play a 4-2-3-1 and Mancini likes wingers who can contribute in defense (Perisic and Biabiany).

So basically we will defend with 7 men(+Goalie) if we have Texeira and Banega on the field (Icardi, Texeira and Banega).
But this means we need to have a destroyer next to Banega (Medel type). Because I don't see Brozovic or K'dog sufficient for this role.

I think you guys are getting a little too excited. The guy just said that they would be happy to help Inter with their players. No mention of Texiera, no mention of Melo.

They bought players like Texiera to attract more chinese fans to their club and just after 6 months they loan him out? Why would they do that? Why would they want to make their fans angry and maybe potentially lose fans? They just paid 50 million for Texiera to bring in those fans.

Depends how highly Suning value their own club in comparison to Inter tbh. On one hand, Jiangsu is their 'original' club (albeit, only for a year) and based in their homeland. On the other hand, Inter is obviously the more prestigious and valuable club. Additionally, despite the fact that Serie A is a load of shit, it's still not as big a shit as the Chinese League.

Let's say you own two cars, a high-end sports car and a luxury vehicle. You also own two properties, one, a unit in a high-rise apartment in the city, and the other, a large house near the beach. Where would you house which vehicle? There are pros and cons for both.

That being said, the notion of Suning somehow just giving us a €50m player seems like fan-made fantasy at its worst. The more I think of it, I remain skeptical and think that we need to find out more about where Suning's priorities lie and how their valuations stand.

What, how is this pure fantasy? They loan him here, we loan them Melo or some other shit to their club. Suning owns both clubs now, so they technically can do what they want, wages and all, to accommodate those who won't accept playing in the Chinese league. The only glitch is FFP won't like it one bit if we let go of our recent 'inter formula' loan with option to buy and adapt this workaround to get players from China. In any case, we only have one spot left for a non EU player, since Erkin was signed already.
