I saw yesterday a headline that Barca are, allegedly, open to exchange Jordi Alba for Bastoni. Open. OPEN. THEY are open.

Bitch, I would say no if you threw De Jong in there, let alone shitters like Alba...these Barca guys really enjoy being humiliated.

That's like us saying we're open to trading Gags for Messi

Yeah, I hope he gets the nod ahead of Acerbi next game. Just adds a little extra something.

We both know Chiellini will somehow regain his fitness and be tasked with marking Lukaku all game.

And as much as I hate to admit it, he usually does a really good job against Rom.

With Italian referees, yes.
Let's not get it twisted, the last Juve game we played was a fucking farce and in 2-0 in the league we rolled them, Rom against Chiellini included. But for a 36 year old CB, Chiellini does suprisingly well against Lukaku most of the time.

Either way, I still rate Basto should start against Belgium and for the rest of the tournament, whatever that may be.

I dont see anything wrong with that, he had Lukaky in his pocket the whole time.

Kinda wish Bastoni would start over Bonucci though but I guess Mancini probably doesn't think he's used to with the 4 back position.

He's getting experience by being part of the team in a big pressure tournament. Of course minutes on the pitch would be even more valuable but it's not like euros 2020 goes in vain for him.

I realise i may be the only one who sees it this way but i feel exactly the opposite. I am delighted Bastoni isn't getting lots of playing time at Euro. Our management would have no qualms selling him in case they received a good offer for him so the less exposure he gets, the better.

eh i get the argument, but for the player and for us overall, its better for him to continue to get experience and impress at a higher level.

I’m also happy he’s getting some rest time.

I don't like that argument, it reminds me of the argument used for Icardi when he didn't play for NT.

I wouldnt call it rest. He's still training with the team and has gotten some playing time. If you want to be happy he's resting you should've hoped he didn't get called up.

Fine. I’m happy he’s not playing matches which reduces his chances of getting injured.
