But why rush the deal in the first place then?
I think Oaktree wanted some assurances we make some profits and cut some costs? I also wonder if Inter board wanted to make this one fast sale to give us some breathin space and some leverage for other sales? I think one of Lukaku, Lautaro, Bastoni or Skriniar will be sold if great offer comes? But we dont have to sell anyone if we dont get the money we want, thanks to Hakimi sale? We are hammered financially with sponsors and with empty stadiums.

If we sell one more player, I think it will give us more financial stability and lot better financial position for future merecatos?

I think its little naive to compare this sale to those those English players like Sancho, Maguire, Kane! Those clubs dont have to sell and every English player go with higher price!

If we looks orher full back prices
LUCAS HERNANDEZ - Atletico Madrid to Bayern Munich, £68m
BENJAMIN MENDY – Monaco to Manchester City, £51.75m
KYLE WALKER – Tottenham to Manchester City, £50m
AARON WAN-BISSAKA - Crystal Palace to Manchester United, £50m

So again those clubs did not need to sell and it was before Covid. So if we get that €60-70 million its is in line with market prices + take in consideration current climate + our financial postion and its a wingback not striker, amc or a winger…

I love Hakimi but he had his ups and downs last season. He can become one of the best wingbacks of all time, but currently he is not that consistent yet and that have to also take in consideration.

This deal could still fall apart and that would get us at the starting spot again and maybe we would get some lowball offers for Lautaro, Skriniar, Bastoni and keep Hakimi?

Yeah I think you are right that they just wanted this sale out of their hands soon to not have the burden on "need to sell" on their shoulders throughout the summer.

I can given them that. Still not impressed with the money if it's indeed 60m€ + 10m€.

Is there a way to hide this big a financial problem? I'm a proponent of hiding whatever issues you have, but knowing why some things are done did alleviate some pain from this sale and people are quite aware that Suning is fucked. Maybe not the details, but the overall picture is pretty transparent.

In that sense they warned both fans and players of what is happening. It's not a whim, not for profit, it's survival. That's at least how they presented it.

Of course everyone would have liked to have that €80 million, but that 60m€ + 10m€ is still world record for a wingback and that happened in this current climate and we needed to sell, so Im surprised we got that much and Hakimi still need to improve his consistency.

But Im interested to see what the actual numbers will be? It can be lower or little higher? Lots of rummours flying!

According to Di Marzio Inter accepted the offer which was 68m€ + 3m€ bonuses. That's better than 60+10 for sure, so at least we're getting close to 70m€ guaranteed. Overall price is not great but this feels a bit better.

We sent this offer to Real as they have the right of first refusal. We had 5m€ bonuses linked to the deal with Real, and we will pay 1m€ bonuses (for the Scudetto), rest won't be paid as they were linked to Hakimi's personal performances and they weren't met in one season (probably games played and goals+assists I can guess). Real have few days to reply, they won't match the offer obviously.

Madrid is making a huge mistake, because Carvajal is done. But i guess they don't have that kind of money or saving for Mbappe huge salary.
Perez is too proud to admit he made a mistake with Hakimi! I think they would look too foolish if they singed Hakimi for 70 millions just 12 months later they sold him for 40-45m :)

It was not a mistake but a necessity for them. They had to make plusvalenza (that's why the deal happened at the end of June). They couldn't sell anyone else on that schedule I think and it's a lot easier anyway to sell a player (so mostly an asset from team management perspective) for huge plusvalenza who hasn't played for your team at all. But it's not about pride, it's about money or lack of it in this moment.

Yes that is most likely the Real reason ;)

Nice to see that we're giving PSG one of the best FBs in the world for the next decade.

I can guarantee that we are going to spend more than 70 million on flops and garbage trying to replace him.

His agent saying he was happy at inter and wanted to stay but “accepted” the sale 😔
Meanwhile the same agent says Martinez won't sign anything until they speak with the club about something.
Most likely seeing if they find a deal to Barca/Real etc acceptable...

I appreciate you talking sense, but I'm fucking pissed and I just don't care.

Based on our current record, we're not seeing a decent wingback for another fucking 8 years and we sold our only good one to a club who is run by a fucking country for 70m, while minnows like Brighton are getting 50m for Ben White.
Chill bro. EPL clubs and PSG are living in their own "Super league". They can spend whatever they want for whoever they choose with no consequences. It's totally different universe.

Both things can be true at the same time.

Don't have one.

I think their reasoning even when they sold him to us is that he can't play rb as good as rwb, and they are probably right. Hakimi on the highest level can only play at rwb. His positioning and defensive awareness, for me at least, is still not good enough for more defensive role.

Regardless of if we get a better fullback in the future, I will forever be bitter about Hakimi's departure. I will never forgive suning.
