- An awkward looking Aldo Serena topping the goal scoring table in Serie A
- Maradona blitzing everyone and everything by carrying a mediocre Napoli to the top of the world.
- Liverpool legend Ian Rush proving how shit the English league was when he went from Eng Div 1 goal-scoring machine to dud in Serie A. No sweepers in England hey Ian ?
- A weird looking San Siro without a roof
- Asprilla's amazing goal to end Milan's season and a half unbeaten run (Thank fuck for that)
- Bergomi hit in the head with a coin thrown by a Romanista moments after being presented the UEFA cup
- Curva Nord Ultra's ripping up the seats of San Siro and throwing them at a pleading Matthaus when we fucked up the 1990/91 season
- Roberto Mancini & Gianluca Vialli as the best strike partnership in the world.
- The irony of watching West Germany v Holland at the San Siro during Italia 90. (Look it up if you don't know)
- PACKED stadiums with every Serie A game was sold out.
- You couldn't find a replica shirt to save your life. If you did, the order took 2 months to arrive.
- Serie A clubs had only 3 foreigners per team. And the best in the world played there despite which club.
- Roberto Baggio's US$13m transfer to Juve was a mind boggling record Then was punished for refusing to take a penalty against his former side
- People saying "Manchester Who ? bahahaha those piss-pots won't amount to anything".
- Ernesto Pellegrini (Inters owner) couldn't attend matches because he spent more time in jail cells and court over fraud.
- Juventus had the second largest fanbase in the world behind Real Madrid.
- keeping up with football news you buy magazines, newspapers (Il Globo, does it still exist today ???) everyday
- Jurgen Klinsmann sooking about the pressures of Serie A and threating to quit Inter to become an environmentalist trekking the Rocky Mountains.
- people saying "English Div 1 ??? bahahahaha what a boring piece of shit league that is"
- Ruben Sosa was the ONLY player that put the white ankle tape over his socks.
- Moratti decided not to buy Ronaldo at 17 so he could spend 2 years at PSV to 'mature'. Despite identifying him as the 1st player he wanted when he took over Inter.
- 3-5-2 !!!! Only the Italians played it the best
- The Genoa v Samp derby had to be stopped until all the 'darts' thrown at the Genoa keeper were picked up and cleared off the ground.
- Parma having the 'biggest' sponsorship deal in the world and being one of the richest clubs.

Can you recall who we were playing against when the ultras threw the seats at Matthaus circa early 91 ? I keep thinking it was against Atalanta.

He was pleading with them to stop.

haha no, definitely too young for that. I went to a bit of Italia 90 though & some Inter games from around that time onwards, so I have patchy memories plus some pretty cool old videos/photo's

& reading this really is a reminder of how far Parma have fallen XD

- Leonardo signing every possible star from Serie A to PSG
- Ibra failing to win CL despite playing with some of the best teams
- Messi's injury after X number of years.
- Suarez biting opponent again
- Bayern Munich signing the best player from their rivals again thereby making the league one horse race
- Lewandowski scoring 4 goals agaisnt Madrid which made Madrid to sign him in the following season.
- Xavi's 100 successful sideways passes.
- Valdes again making ass of himself on the biggest stage and showing what a poor keeper he is.
- ManUtd signing a winger despite having 4 already.
- ManUtd signing for every possible positon except CM when they had only 1 in their squad

Going through that post is probably the only time I ever felt I should be 10 years older. Seriously football is just not as magical as it was earlier. I started following it towards the 2nd half of 90s, and got into Inter early 00s.

Right now, Serie A isn't strong, La Liga is a joke, EPL sucks as much as it did back then. Bundesliga is great to watch, but that's purely from entertainment point of view.
