It’s true and a valid point that Colpani doesn’t really have a natural position in this squad, but he does have qualities we need in a player— mainly having pace and being able to dribble at defenders. The only players we have like that are Thuram and maybe Cuadrado (lol). I think he’s basically our plan B to Samardzic. Samardzic didn’t have a natural role in our formation but we still wanted him. Colpani has the added benefit of being tall, strong, and an Italian playing for a serie A club. Plus it would be easier to pull off because of our relationship with Monza. My guess is that we would want to deploy him as some sort of hybrid support striker/ attacking midfielder, similar to what we attempt (and mostly fail) to do with Sanchez.
Agreed fully, also on the Samardzic part.

Should we have 20m to burn I'd rather put some on top for a new striker. Considering we will have peanuts resource.

Our depth there next year is terrible.
Unless we sell one of the strikers, we will have Arnautovic, Lautaro, and Thuram next season. Alexis will leave and Correa has no place in the squad. I assume we go for Taremi in this case.

With Colpani, I think a part of the reason why we do business with Serie A sides is that it also allows us to do the loan + obligation type of deals that we wouldn't be able to do with other clubs. There's also the potential of including some of our Primavera players in deals. We previously did deals with Monza with Di Gregorio and Pirola (although Monza didn't take up that option).

firmino also doing bad over there and wants to leave. I wonder how many of those expensive euro players will be back in January or the summer.
I thought that SMS rumor is fake, but I was told that the source is Rai Uno, so it's not made by some random Inter fan as I believed.
I'd take Firmino as well. Sanchez contract is only for this season iirc?

I'm not sure how would Colpani fit in our system, otherwise I admire his footballing ability. The guy is very intelligent.

He reminds me a bit of Ilicic in style of play.
Yeah, Rodrigo DePaul style workhorse fits our system way better, but Colpani is still scoring goals. He has creativity and threath in him.

RdP is linked to Jube January loan switch. But I doubt if Atletico accept pure loan deal.

Rai is trash. Not a fan made rumour but still unreliable.

because he can be a free signing for us that could compete for mkhi position.

i watched his games in lazio. doesn’t look like serie a overwhelms him. he could be useful for our midfield and be long term solution for mkhi

is there a better midfield player under 30 years than kamada that can be signed for free?

and if he joined, i think he can compete for first team place to replace mkhi especially next season. he is dynamic, have good creativity, good vertical passing and good long shot like his goal vs napoli. he can be useful for our team as we really need a long term replacement for mkhi. frattesi looks more like replacement for barella.

perhaps sarri preferred the more tenacious gendouzi for sarri ball. from the little minutes kamada played, he does not look bad or out of depth. perhaps just not suited or yet to adapt to sarri tactics.

well, could be lazio loss, our gains!

we did that on hakan right?

Hakan was important player and starter for Milan, while Kamada is a back up of Geundouzi.
And free agents are not exactly free. Lazio paid some fee to agents as well as Inter for Thuram (I've read about 8mln somewhere). Kamada will ask for a higher salary because he is a free agent too.
I'd go for some proven and potentially available player like SMS or Rodrigo de Paul, or even will spend 20mln on Colpani, before to go for another bench-rotational Lazio player. The previous one was 30mln flop.

with this season in lazio, i don’t think kamada is in position to demand high salary. signing on fees valie might also be low. we just need to be smart on this opportunity. what kamada might be wanting is a more solid project with him as a potential starter and we do have that position to replace mkhi

rodrigo de paul is contracted to atletico until 2026 while sms on high wages contract till 2026. how is these two be a much cheaper option to kamada and how is sms who played in saudi league (less competitve) while not exactly playing well there be a better option?

and how is colpani a more proven player than kamada? he’s not even played for italy nt yet while kamada is playing past seasons at world cup, CL etc. a first team player at monza might not mean much. gags a first team player in monza too.

i would argue that in the last season at milan when its clear hakan wont sign a new contract, he was treated as rotational player only.

look a sancho cases in man utd, are you saying sancho would be rotational player elsewhere just because things don’t work for him with the coach there?

kamada situation is a good opportunity for us. worst case, he can be sold elsewhere and we can make some money.

Hakan definitely wasn't a rotational player in his last season at Milan. He started 30 out of 33 Serie A matches that he was available for.
