Inzaghi never plays youth.

I doubt it. None of the other guys we have or are linked to can play in the Calhanoglu role in the event he goes down. We need Asllani to step up this year and show he has what it takes.

Who else besides Samardzic? Milan are linked with literally every player Inter wants this summer including Thuram & Frattesi.

If we can somehow have a deal in place to get Samardzic as a 6th option, that would be amazing. I don't mind Pereyra at all as he's solid as a 6th option, but getting a younger player with big potential like Samardzic would be huge. Also don't think playing time would be too much of an issue given that even at Udinese he was not a full on starter. Not to mention that even Gagliardini got decent amount of playing time last season, so it's not like he would never play.

Inzaghi never plays youth.

So, don't give him a choice then. With Hakan, Barella, Mhiky, Frattesi, Samardzic and Asllani, Inzaghi cannot play the former three for all season long. He will be forced to use the latter three anyway.

It's not that he would never play, but he play less. We cannot give players like Samardzic the Asllani/Gagliardini treatment and I don't think the player himself takes this lightly.

Another thing is the matter of money. Udinese want around 20-25m for him. I don't know how we can afford it when some crucial pieces are still missing in the squad and the club hasn't abandoned their obsession with Lukaku yet.

Pereyra seems the most logical and painfree solution. We still need new players. Correa has to go 100% no ifs and buts> replacement. Denzel has to have a competition. We don't want another season like before from him. Another defender. A CB who can replace both Acerbi or Darmian. Yeah we signed Bisseck, but this is one of the most important positions to fill. Has to have experience.

So with our finances, I really don't see how we can get Samardzic. But Beppe & Piero have been surprising us before.

Perfection would be selling Gosens (I like him tho), Correa, maybe even Mhkitaryan and getting Pereyra, Kamada and Augusto. That way we would get 3 players that can play in multiple roles, also would have a bit more money to spend on a striker (which would probably be Lukaku, but still)

I'd rather have 16-17 outfield players that will all play a lot (because some can play in different roles) than 21 outfield players where somebody will barely feature.

This obviously won't happen, but my FM mind see this as the best we could realistically do.

But how would you cover your risk if multiple players get injured?

Yeah, would be insanity to try to get rid of Mhkitaryan after a season like what we just saw. He basically took a starting spot and never gave it away. Only became better when the season went on.

He could play in multiple positions. That was kinda my point.

I like Darmian and what he offers us. I would love to have more players like that.
