haha I think teams/agents are using us to get others to make offers. I see random players being linked to us for 30+ million. Unless its 5-10m I don't believe it.

I just can't see use selling Brozo to Barca for 18m to buy a 34 year old on high wages for 8m..... tho the stupidity of the people making decisions at this club this seems realistic

Here's the thing, while a youtube highlight can make a player look better than he is, it's very hard to expect the opposite. If your highlights don't even look good, then how good are you on your average days? Exceptions to this general idea are actually very rare.

The thing is, youtube highlights can be very misleading and do not give us a good impression of what a player's overall impact is on his team's performance. You can't highlight certain things a player does which are not exactly flashy to be on a highlight but they're important for the team, like covering, stamina, being at the right place at the right time, doing basic things rights and not making too many mistakes. Some players don't have many spectacular characteristics to make an impressive highlight video out of them, but they improve their team's performance by doing basic football right.

It's true and we're all aware of that. Off the ball works generally don't translate well in a youtube compilation. But in this case specifically, Musah is supposed to be a technical player, Valencia fans told me so. So I expect to see some skills, but the skills shown are very disappointing like he does a feint, runs past a player then misplaces a pass right after. Small pieces of skill that don't look good in the first place and have nothing comes out of them at the end, that kind of shits.

He played CM CAM and RW, all attacking positions, and the stats basically confirm he had no end products whatsoever.

I mean I'm not saying he's bad or anything, I just dont understand where the hype is coming from. If you've watched him play, please share your opinion, I'm sure people'd like to hear.

People can be bias or simply lazy/bad at collecting highlights too. On youtube Skriniar looked like a headless chicken when being linked to us. But immediately after signing an extended version was released by trifootball and, quite the contrary, he looked like a beast.

Yep, and as far as I'm aware, nobody is hyping Thuram. He's free and ours, so fans are hopeful but that's about it.

Musah though, seems highly rated by some here. But I'm sure we can find comparable if not better talents in Serie A for cheaper.
