I like this attempt of bringing players planned for next season already in. With Gosens it worked, with Frattesi might work but might be too difficult.

They get extra 5 months to gel into the team while they don't have too much responsibility on the pitch to deliver.

Not sure if Fratessi is the guy but there is no doubt that we needed a quality midfielder in the winter mercato itself. Our trio Barella--Brozovic--Calh are there but injury/suspension would jeopardize us with our title hunt (we have been quite lucky with injuries in the midfield department so far - those 3 players I meant). Not to forget need for rest, to be subbed, form and all. There are no rumours at all for an incoming midfielder and I would not mind Fratessi at all (if that somehow happens).

Yeah, we do have Vidal, Gags and Vecino but I am sure that all of us would have similar opinion on how these 3 players would fair if they are to play key roles in second half of the season.

Frattesi has been thoroughly scouted apparently, a true target. But what if it's someone else & cuz of one red card to tie yourself to a player for years it's too risky imo It's January, we might get another Gags. No matter how much we respect Marotta and Ausilio, they could misjudge.

Fuckin Sensi, when we need him to sit tight and be of use he starts bitching about playing time.

Looks like there wont be any midfielder coming now, all the reports are suggesting that we just want to secure Frattesi in the spring, just as Scamacca.
So yea, if any starter gets hurt for a longer period of time, we are pretty much fucked.

Frattesi is one for the future. One should not expect him to start delivering in the first 12 months (if he does, thats great, but we shouldn't expect everyone to do a Bastoni). He needs to be given a lot of time and patience. In that respect, it doesn't really matter that much whether we get him now or in the summer. Perhaps 6 more months of playing at Sassuolo will do him some good.

I am looking at Frattesi as a Vecino/Sensi replacement. The Vidal replacement (our 4th mid) is the critical one. That player needs to be ready to perform from day 1. Fabian Ruiz would be fantastic. Even Barak or someone of at least that level.

It's very likely that Fabian Ruiz will be available for slightly more. I'd prefer to go for him.

I would love Ruiz at Inter, but even with only 18 months remaining on his contract, I suspect he will cost way north of 20m, probably double that.

He would come to Inter to be a rotation player. Not someone like Barella who almost immediately was a starter. He wouldn't have that pressure and would get time to gel in to the team, the pressure, everything.

Well i think we should find a better rotational player. Someone who is more established. In the summer we will most probably will lose Vidal and Vecino. This guy will be our first replacement. I think we need 4 good high class midfielders that can rotate, and Fratesi can be the 5th choice.

Fabian Ruiz would be a perfect player to have. Everyone will get enough playing time.
