I love how, from looking at all the potential Lukaku substitutes, none of them have the same profile as him, which is fine, but also all of them are very different kind of players one another. From Insigne to Zapata, to Correa and now that freaking Thuram guy.

Do we even know what we're looking for ?

At this point fuck it with everything that’s going on 25 million for Thuram could be excellent and then maybe get Lewandowski to replace Dzeko next year. Pipe dream I know but if the owner situation resolves itself a bit and Lewa wanting to try a new challenge it could be a possibility.

i believe inter is in perfect position in these two years to test and see if primavera system is working. i mean inter is cash straped need to cut cost get rid of vidal and in these two years wich budget will be tight should promote primavera players AND PLAY THEM IN MEANINGFULL GAMES , CHAMPIONS LEAGUE OR SERIE A BIG OR SMALL GAMES NO MEANINGLESS COPPA ITALIA

Benzema extended his contract with Real till 2023 and Dzeko's is to 2023. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Does Insigne even want to come here to not start every game? Though be to fair, if he and Thuram arrive the possibilities of playing a 3-4-3 are definitely there.
Honestly this would be really exciting to watch, but we would get destroyed in the midfield.

Has Inzaghi even played a 343?

And yes, I never want to see a midfield of just Broz - Barella
Italy's Euro formation was basically a glorified 3-4-3 with Spinnazola pushing further up the left and Di Lorenzo always staying back.

On rare occasions Inzaghi had used 3-4-2-1 with Luis Alberto/SMS playing closer to Correa and Immobile but his main formations at Lazio were 4-3-3 (at first) and 3-5-2. Another issue is both Thuram and Insigne play on the left while even Hakan can only play on the left. So who's gonna play on the right? The only 3-4-2-1 that might work is something like this:

Handanovic
Skriniar - De Vrij -Bastoni
Dumfries -Barella - Brozovic - Perisic
Sensi - Thuram/Insigne
Lautaro

I simply can't see how Thuram and Insigne could fit in the same starting lineup. I guess we could go for a 3-4-1-2 with Insigne as AM and Thuram as a forward but that would be super experimental and i can't see it work.

You mixed something up, there were always 3 central midfielders on.

It was not symmetrical 343 as Spinazzola played like a wingback while on the other flank, there was Berardi who played more offensive role as the right forward. The three in the midfield in addition to Spinazzola were CMs indeed.

I wish we're that broke that we have to play Satriano and don't do any panic purchases. Not satisfied with any forwards we've been linked to.
Agreed, last thing we should be doing is wasting more money.

The strange thing the names that we're linked to are very different players. So despite their potential and qualities it seems the club does not exactly know what they are looking for. That's not a very encouraging thought.

From what I read from the latest name Thuram, he does not even fit into the 3-5-2. We don't know if he's a sub-Lautaro, Sub-Dzeko, or gonna have a different role in the team.
