Calciomercato linked us with soon-to-be-free agent Jan Vertonghen. He`s 32 now, will be 33 by summer. Seems like Godin replacement.

Yes in the case of Vertonghen. They are not excluded because they aren't related to the acquisition or development of youth player, and they are not related to stadium or equipment cost or upkeep.

Agent commissions are treated as capital, since they are part of the cost of acquisition and not tied to performance of the player. They behave the same on the books as transfer fees do.

Bastoni Škriniar De Vrij - starters and Vertonghen as the sub. I would hope we have another young FB that could cover just in case.

Loaning Bastoni out doesnt make any sense, he is older than Kumbulla and already started many games for us and performing well.

Would much rather get Telles. I know people are wary about buying Porto players, but Telles actually played well for a season here. At the very least, I see more upside with him than Alonso (for 30m, no less - what a joke).
