I wanted Verdi before January to be our AM. But niw after having Rafinha, I don't want Verdi anywhere near this team. Even if we don't sign Rafinha I don't want Verdi. We will be in CL and Verdi definitely is not CL material.

Stop wasting money on average players.

I wasnt suggesting we should go for any of them

I'm merely saying that Felipe Anderson is the best of the three by far. Parolo is getting old and Luis Alberto is completely unimpressive with just some basic technical skills. Lazio's top 5 impact players this season were 1. SMS, 2. Immobile 3. de Vrij, 4. Felipe Anderson and 5. is probably Luis Alberto due to his assist count and goals but I'd say Lulic and Marusic have had a better year. I mean, it's unacceptable that people are bashing Perisic despite his statistical numbers and praise guys like Luis Alberto just because they have a numerical advantage. He's a smart player but that's about it.

edit: With that being said, I prefer Luis Alberto to mother fucking Suso. At least Alberto has a reason to be hyped.

Yeah, because let's just count all of the Italian players we've bought over the years. Candreva, Eder, Santon, D'Ambrosio, Palombo, Gagliardini, Ranocchia.

We've barely spent 60 million over 7 years on Italian players.

??? Candreva and Gags alone was almost 60mil. Eder and Dumbo was about 10 mil each.

I know after buying Martinez a striker is the last thing we need but I wish we could've gone for Musa Barrow and kept him at Atalanta for two seasons. I don't imagine currently he would cost more than 15 million but I see him as 50-60 million euro player in the future. He would be a great investment.

Maybe if we sold Icardi?

Gagliardini and Candreva were both 25 million. That's 50. Couldn't be bothered to look up the rest, but my point remains: this isn't exactly Juve dropping 40 million on Bernardeschi, 15 million on Ogbonna, 20 million on Amauri, and wondering what went wrong.

INTER AND THE PYRAMID OF DREAMS

From Chiesa to Verdi: all options for the right wing position.
Inter sporting director Ausilio is also keeping an eye on the situation of Politano and Berardi.
Watch out also for the young star in Kluivert who is liked by many big clubs.

Inter are on the hunt for a talented right winger that can make the difference up front together with Icardi and Perisic. Some important names are underlined neatly on the list of Ausilio and Spalletti. The most sought-after player is certainly Federico Chiesa but Matteo Politano and Simone Verdi deserve as much attention. Justin Kluivert, the son of Patrick, is also in contention. Obviously, there is huge crowd surrounding these talents in Italy as well as abroad. And also precisely for this reason, the prices of reach of them are high and rising. And Inter are ready to scale this virtual pyramid based on the transversal opportunities that will be created.

Viola talent- Let’s start with the situation of Chiesa. Della Valle keeps the player tightly, Fiorentina consider him a focal point for next season, especially now that Mancini has promoted him to the national team. In the case of Inter, the goal of Chiesa is possible only if there are attractive offers for Candreva. Let’s not forget the budget parameters because Fiorentina are going to ask 60 million for the player, but may drop to around 50. Napoli have made an inquiry same with Milan as the Rossoneri have taken information in case of huge sales. Inter have a small advantage of being able to count on the liking of the player’s representatives, the result of sowing done on time. And successfully.

Verdi track - While everyone kind of has a wait and see approach, Piero Ausilio continues to make moves on all fronts. First of all, contacts with Verdi are now resumed. The player, in January preferred to stay with Bologna despite the pressing of Napoli. In the meantime, Verdi has also come under the attention of Roma as the Giallorossi are scanning the horizon in view of the possible departures of El Shaarawy and (or) Perotti but no offer is made… yet. One fact is certain: Napoli wanted Verdi in the winter window and had an agreement with Bologna on the basis of 24 million. It is easy to think that the figure is now a bit higher. Inter management is also moving on this front, knowing that the timing is not ripe to make an agreement with any of these clubs.

Bomber - Matteo Politano is climbing the ladder, becoming one of the most liked players in this category. Not only because of having another good season, but also for that goal at the San Siro which made the Spalletti’s men tremble in the second to last matchday chasing for a Champions League spot. He was very close to join Napoli in January (offer was 28 million) but negotiations were dragging on way too long and did not come to fruition on the last day of the window. Napoli have not given up totally although Squinzi, Sassuolo president, has made it clear that his value has risen significantly in the meantime. Inter are ready to enter, relying on the visa obtained for participation in the Champions League. From a technical point of view, Politano is required to seriously consider the advances of Zhang’s club.

Alternative Emiliana - In Sassuolo, Domenico Berardi closed the season in style although for the most part, it was a season full of ups and downs for the player. In the past, the Calabrian was a step away from Inter which now will continue to follow with great caution. His former coach Eusebio Di Francesco, now at Roma, is still flirting with him. The possible landing of Berardi at Roma will implicitly free Inter to go after Verdi or Politano. In the past years, Squinzi was very firm on declaring that his stars players to be not for sale but at Sassuolo, it seems that the time has come for significant changes on the technical front.

The Dutch - In this long list of candidates, Justin Kluivert has the attention of half of Europe not only because of his talent but he has an expiring contract in just one year with Ajax. His agent Mino Raiola is looking at many offers, especially in the Premier League. In Italy, however, Roma have taken the biggest steps without obtaining concrete results for now. This is why Inter still have some room to include itself in the mix.

Has anyone been following Keita Balde at Monaco? His stats are impressive - 8 goals and 11 assists in 33 appearances - but I'm wondering if he is a guaranteed starter there?

I know the club was keen on him last summer, would love to see him back.

Can’t say that I’ve seen any of these wingers much (Kluivert not at all). Are any of them good at breaking down a tight defence? It’s not hard to look like a great winger at a small club, playing off the counter attacks.

They're all good on the counter. Don't think they ever had to break a defence. Haven't seen much of Kluivert either but it's not like teams in Holland park the bus, the defences there are even a bigger joke than the EPL.

As far as i know Chiesa is LW, why he is considered as Candreva's replacement? He is expensive as well. 50-60 mln for very young player who is best suited for counter attacking football is quite expensive.

Chiesa started off as a RM, primarily now plays as RW but sometimes is also used as LW. So pretty much a Candreva replacement. IMO he is a great talent, has just been called up my Mancini for the NT and will become a top player in the next 2-3 years.

My issue with Chiesa is whether we can afford to spend so much money on a youngster who is still developing. We already have Karamoh on the RW, and now have to play in the CL, having 2 kids on the RW may not be wise. Maybe we need someone who is already developed his skills, and is ready to score 10-15 goals a season.
