Nah, Kondogbia is not a poor footballer, in my opinion he is a 20 M footballer, or a very poor 40 M footballer :yao: The stats? try whoscored or something? I dunno

lets say he is player worth of 25millions with his age and potential being worth extra 10-15.
and yes ive actually compared his statistics to some of the best dms of the game right now, like matic, schneiderlin, ... and he is up there, so thats why i said statistically kondogbia is far far from mediocre.

30 million for a Dm is insane unless you are Real Madrid or Man U

Try this, I'm not stat expert but from what I see, Witsel is better at scoring and chance creation (assists) why Kondogbia is total boss in defense. Surprisingly, Kondogbia had higher number of forward pass and backward/sideway pass, higher passing length and is more efficient at dribbling too. In short, we have a defensive beast who also doesnt compromise when going forward.

Keep in mind, Kondogbia played in France and is 4 year younger than Witsel. How was Witsel the most capped player of Zenit while he only played 2300 mins last season???

For Witsel's rumour price (30m), I happily take Kondogbia for 30+ 6-8m.

Using only stats proves Kondogbia isn't close to Schneiderlin or Matic.

Average.rating goals assists Man of match
Matic 7.5 1 3 6
Schneiderlin 7.51 4 1 3
Kondogbia 7.26 1 1 0
Biglia 7.42 3 2 1
Verratti 7.59 2 8 5

Matic did cost 21 M. And for Chelsea that's nothing, they can easily afford to pay 30 M and then 6-12 months later sell for 20 M.
Verratti moved to PSG for 10.5 M
Kondogbia is the 3rd best DM at Monaco.
Fabinho, Monaco. Younger, better, more talented, probably available for under 20 M. :awyeah:

How many Monaco's game have you watch to give that conclusion about Fabinho?

You;re judging a player from stats on whoscored without watching a game and without even noticing the potential Kondogbia has, the money spend on Kondogbia is an investment. The kid is still 22 with a large margin of improvement, take a step back and look at the bigger picture before posting such nonsense.

I stopped watching Monaco when they broke Falcao haha

But what about Moutinho? Dude was a utter beast. If Monaco is selling everyone then I want him here

Fabinho from Copa America isn't very impressive but neither has any Colombian, Brazilian, Argie, Chilean(scoring 5 on Bolivia isn't impressive unless you can do it in La Paz)or Uruguayan player

I have seen several of monaco's CL matches this season. They catched my eyes early on because of their poor economy and counterattacking 433(often turned into 451) style of football. Of course I did doubt them to advance into the tournament. (They did overachieve) For me they looked weak, defensive, untalented, apart from Moutinho. But it was fun to watch the underdog.
They improved greatly during the season, as I said, Moutinho did carry them, and their confidence grew.

The you should at least understand that K is not DM, and Fabinho played mostly as RB.

Monaco played 10 matches in CL, even if you watched all of them, it's still to early to judge, leave it to the scout ffs.

Fabinho both RB and DM, and you forgot Toulalan. Toulalan is/was supposed to be their best DM by huge margin.( also known for being the silent leader of their midfield)

no, moutinho was the leader of monaco's midfield while toulalan was the leader of the defense. toul isnt their best defensive midfielder, he may be really important because of his consistency/leadership, but his level last season was a lot lower than previous years. kdog is much more talented but inconsistent. to be fair he really stepped it up in the second half of last season, he doesnt shy away from the big games.

fabinho better than kdog? firstly fabinho is a right back, not a dm. he only played a few games there in place of toulalan, and for the last few he played really badly which is why jardim moved him back to his natural position. he was also quite inconsistent in 14/15. can attack really well for a fullback but defensively he often loses his man, is out of position, and is lacking aggression/grinta which is avery important quality for a defender. there have been big improvements this season and he showed it vs arsenal, but theres still a lot left to be desired

i like fabinho, but lets be honest here. he isnt nearly as talented as kdog who unquestionably has all the technical qualities to be a top player

moutinho was the leader of monaco's midfield while toulalan was the leader of the defense. toul their best defensive minded player? he isnt their best, he played a lot worse last season, but hes their most important. he was still the most consistent midfielder. kondo is definitely more talented but hes inconsistent, to be fair his level really stepped up in the second half of last season. he doesnt shy away from the big games.

its also ridiculous to say fabinho was better than kondogbia as a defensive midfielder. fabinho had a lot of bad games last season, not even close to talented as kondo who has all the technical qualities to be a top player. monaco fans are really angry that they lost him and most of them are convinced he will skyrocket here. fabinho had a really small amount of good games as dm, later on in may he was absolute trash in that position.

offensively he is great for a fullback but defensively he often loses his man, is out of position, and lacks the aggression/grinta in someone like toul. there have been improvements this season but theres still a lot left to be desired.

i see Kurzawa getting some hype. how does he and fabinho compare?

Well if that's the stats you look for I know I don't have to take your posts seriously.
If you're judging players by only goals, assists and mom performances guarin is nothing short of world class... What about passes, tackles, interceptions, takeons, discipline, ...???

Perhaps I didn't care for more stats, or I was just lazy. I remember someone posted some DM-stats before Inter signed Kondogbia. (in the old midfielders rumours thread)

Comparing stats is like the most boring shit ever. Football is there to be felt, not calculated through math.

Stats and ratings are very different things, and ratings are completely useless for anything.

Why we are spending so much money for midfielders? We have Kovacic,Hernanes,Medel,Guarin,Kuz,Gnoukouri,Crisetig and Benassi, i thing they with Kondogbia are great for this year, we are going for a Ch.L. place, that's not so hard on Serie A, our Midfield it's fine, why to spend 20 m. for Imbula? it's crazy, 20 m. are too much money, enough for a good winger\foward or for a TOP-CLASS LB..
