Capello is a no-brainer, he would continue Mourinho's path, Juve-Milan past is meaningless. Most probably it's because he doesn't want to come to club football and wants to continue with England is the obstacle wtih Capello. Benitez would be also a signing for continuing the Mourinho-path. With him, the transfer policy would definitely have to be strictly connected to our transfer team.

Prandelli is not overrated. Period. But it looks he will be the new NT coach.
Capello - I'm saying I would not stoop down that low and accept him as our coach. Whether we will eventually get him or not, I don't know. But he's surely the best candidate out there.

Benitez - Handing all the transfer decisions to the transfer team will minimize the negative of Benitez. But then we better get used to his regular monthly whine of not getting the players he asked for. And besides, he WILL still have some say in the transfer market for sure.

Prandelli - Period what dude? :D I honestly think he's overrated. Yeah he brought Fiorentina to a respectable side again but that's nothing more than what Del Neri did for Chievo for 2-3 seasons and what he did for Samp this season.

Don't even mention Novellino! He hasn't been able to hold onto a job for I don't know how long.

Wouldn't really like Baresi...every time he's been in charge of a match he looked lost out there...plus he even had a hard time in games where he was messaging Mourinho!

As for Zenga vs. Mihajlovic, I agree, I'd pick Zenga as well. They're both not very good but at least Zenga has more experience as a manager...

Frankly, these stories about Mihajlovic increasingly make me believe they are a lie by the club itself. I just can't take them seriously. Mourinho is diverting pressure off the players by making his future uncertain and the club is diverting pressure off Mourinho by suggesting these outrageous names. A pretty smart move by the club as a whole.

I feel Moratti, in all his years of being president, has learned from his mistakes, and should know the risks that would come with such a young coach as Mihajlovic. I simply can't believe Moratti would go so easily with all this as the press is making it out to be.

I do see it that way too... and hope that is really happening...

Miha in Madrid to 'study his Inter'
Friday 21 May, 2010

Catania boss Sinisa Mihajlovic will attend the Champions League Final in Madrid 'to study his Inter'.

The 41-year-old Serb is the favourite to replace Jose Mourinho who is expected to join Real Madrid next week.

Mihajlovic had already planned to be at the Santiago Bernabeu, but recent speculation about his future has made the former Lazio and Inter defender's presence all the more significant.

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Mihajlovic will now watch the game as if he were Inter's new boss, looking for things that might influence the club's transfer strategy this summer.

Inter President Massimo Moratti intends to meet Mihajlovic on Monday either in Milan or at Forte dei Marmi to discuss replacing Mourinho.

Moratti would ideally like a new Coach in place by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest, so Inter can start preparing for next season.

Why's that? And can you be more specific with the time frame. Since I'm sure Miha will coach Inter at some point in his career.

Right now Miha is good enough for Inter Primavera(this is the level our senior squad has reached in 1 season), there is no way Miha can take this forward, he might have the talent, that I dont know, but he certainly doesnt have experience. With Miha as a coach you start a new project but you dont need to start new project now considering our current team can develop this season into atleast 1-2 more great seasons. Then maybe Miha might be the right man.

I understand the club however if they are taking Miha in. They want a yes man who would continue Mou's tactics, be a little more media friendly and let Moratti and Branca really drive the project. I really hope thats the plan with him.

Bottom line: The problem we have is that there is no replacement for Mourinho. And if we win everything this season the pressure will be double next season.

Mihajlović knows the team and he won't need much time to adopt but I'm really worried about his inexperience. I don't think he is ready to takeover a team like Inter. If he at least coached a semi-top team like Lazio then I wouldn't mind him being our coach because only then we can judge how well he'll do with us.
I really hope that a more experienced name will pop-up in the coming days.

yes, going to Miha would not be a well-thought decision. Would have ideally liked him to be an understudy of a great coach like in our case ,Mourinho, and then if Mourinho says Miha could be the right guy then we could go for him but that too after being understudy for a couple of years.

Also

Miha to Most of the guys " Do 15 rounds of Meazza"

and to Mariga, Muntari, Balotelli, etc " Do 50 rounds please"

Good point. That's why if we can't get Capello (who would be the adequate replacement), we should start the new project. Taking a "yes man" attitude with the coach would be horrible, since it would mean the management tries to continue with the high-level run but without the most important piece of the jigsaw (Mourinho).

IMO if we are going to sign Mihajlovic, it has to be for the change of generation. I'm afraid that the "yes man" attitude will prevail and we don't do too much changes. It's okay for a season perhaps, since there is quality still in this team. But in the summer 2011 at the latest the bigger changes must come. And to remember, this is the case if we sign a rookie like Miha.

I hope most of Mourinho's team stays intact after he leaves. That would devastate us.

eg if Milito and Maicon leaves, who will we sign? Cavani and Arbeloa???

We need someone to continue Mourinho's work.

I don't think Capello will continue the work, but he will get it done his way.

Mihaljovic type of coach, inexperienced, that owes Inter a lot(since he started his backroom career with us), is good if, as Suneet remarked, we intend to "control" him.

The new coach must be guided by a "higher force" for at least one season until we re-build. The re-building must be left to the new coach.

The good thing about Mancini2 is that he's one of the last "pals" while Mancini had a variety of choices in Cesar, Mihaljovic, Favalli etc.
We won't see that bias in Miha, but that's after 1-2 years.

Really really messed up scenarios if Mourinho leaves, but we all knew he was going to at some point. But not so soon, and leaving us with no great alternatives.

After Mourinho we can't experiment. We are not in the Premier League were almost no team has competent managers and teams go on auto-pilot to have a "Grant" as manager. Serie A is the mother of tactics, we need someone ready. Can't think any more!! I'm gonna black out if Mourinho leaves and we get a mediocre replacement.
