I dont understand why we would go for Benzema, he is the laziest player on the planet. He might be worth the gamble though if he is cheap enough and his value shouldnt be very high anymore.

It could happen , Madrid will likely offload Benzema in the summer and probably go for Tevez then, makes sense.

Tevez to Madrid, Benzema to Inter is not that unlikely. Tevez to Inter is very unlikely though and both Tevez and Benzema to Inter is just ridiculous.

Benzema is simply a very cocky player. He thinks he's some kind of super star because he shined at Lyon and that makes him lazy. Which again makes him poor and not a superstar. Unless he drop his salary to half or even more, I don't see a realistic option to get him.

People were labeling Eto'o with the same 'money hunter' stuffs before he joining us, and now look what people say about him.

Eto'o didn't gave transfer request to Moratti.

What does that ever mean?!!

Point is that we can't pay 30-40 millions for player who is unhappy in city where he's captain, leader and highest earner. He handed transfer request in December, why he wouldn't do the same with us.

First of all, they made him captain just to keep him in the club. It was a policy by the club just to think that may work out, since it was apearant that Tevez has asked about a move in the summer. Second he has a big wage because Man City offer mamoth wages for players to come and play for them. It's not that odd that Tevez has a big salary there.

Tevez had family issue in England. His family is in Argentina. They could not adopt to life in England and that problem came by what Tevez said as problems with "certain executives and individuals which is beyond repair now":

“I can confirm I have handed a transfer request to the chairman of Manchester City Football Club … Now I need to clear my head and think because this is an important part of my career. My feelings have not changed and it is regrettable that we have reached this situation … But it is something I have felt for some time and have spent many hours thinking this through.”

“I hugely resent the management’s suggestions that I have been unduly influenced by others … I wanted to leave in the summer, but was convinced to return to the club. Sadly, my feelings have not changed.

“I am disappointed that the management should now see fit to try to portray the situation in another light. My relationship with certain executives and individuals at the club has broken down and is now beyond repair. I do not wish to expand on this at this stage. They know, because I have told them.”

“I wish to clarify that I have no personal issue with the manager Roberto Mancini … The owner has been very generous with what he has offered to me. I would like to thank Sheik Mansour for his understanding and support.”

Benzema to Inter?! NEVER!!! I prefer to bring Martins back instead :p Tevez is 10 times better than Benzema and he proves it every week, he gives everything he's got for City. Benzema, the Diva of real madrid just finishes the chances that Cr.Ronaldo, Di Maria, Ozil and the rest of Real's players create. He doesn't run, he NEVER defends and he generally behaves like he's there just for celebrating goals. Tevez does everything for his team but i don't see any chance to join Inter though, Massimo has been quite tightfisted lately :irritate:

A public statement doesn't mean anything. That shit was probably written by his agent.

No one can question the quality and effort Tevez gives on the pitch, and for that reason alone he'd be an excellent signing. But anyone pretending to know anything about his off the field issues is delusional. Maybe he'll pull the same crap here, maybe he won't. It's a risk I'd be willing to take, but I don't think we'll have the choice as I doubt we'd splash the cash to get him anyway.

I barely managed to understand anything from your post since you said this evidence doesn't mean anything and people who PRETEND that know about his off field issues are delusional but still you don't have any better proof for your points?!

Ok whatever. Anyway, how exactly you don't think we'll have the choice to splash the cash to get him?! What's so impossible about this deal?!!

What I'm saying is that no one knows the reasons for Tevez's issues, whether it be management, the city, family, the team, etc. So, speculating about how he'd behave here is pointless. No proof needed, as I'm not the one claiming to know what will happen.

As far as the cash goes, it's not like he'd be cheap. He might wind up as the EPL's leading scorer. City paid 50mil for him. Look at some of the ridiculous prices that average players like Bent and Carroll just went for. When was the last time we spent big money on a player? I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see Moratti splashing the 40mil that Tevez would cost.

Yeah true, when was the last time that MM spent a proportionate ammount of money for a player?
