Robinho is a risk. We are replacing a fiery young man with an older, even more immature player. I agree his talent is exactly what we want. But can Samuel, Lucio and Zanetti keep him in line? If so, then Kwadwo Asamoah and Robinho, please!

I would welcome Arnautovic back too :)

How is Robinho worse than Balotelli?

Lemme get this straight, you don't want Robinho because he's "immature", but you do want Arnautovic, who's like 5 times worse?

We should have bought Ibra back. Sell him for 70mil 1 year, then buy him back for 24mil the next.

Just read Spurs might be after Zarate on loan with an option to buy. Shame our relationship with Lazio is so shitty or I'd be up for that. Loan him, if he sucks, don't redeem. They quality is there, it's just a matter of whether he decides to show it.

fuck it, why not, G. Mesto from Genoa, super fast, great shot, good heading ability. Would be a good bench player and gives us good pace on the wings.

INTER 2009/10 !
After Bbilan got Ibra, Juve got Quaqliarela and some other players, we got nothing.. Uhm, sorry, we got more than nothing because we lost Mario, I don't care how immature Robinho can be.. I'd take him anytime now!

Sculli was decent today, he's not a bad player. Alexis Sanchez would be fucking great.

By the way... guys we have the best team in europe so its a bit dumb asking for big transfers or big names, we don't need to imporve our squad too much, 2 o 3 nice players but not too expensive, this team win the UCL so im still trustful with this team

Typical bullshit that Galliani and Berlusconi had the Milan fans quoting right after winning the UCL and look where it got them. We do not have the best team in Europe, not even close. What we do have is an aging team that got a whole year older and much much weaker. Every team around us in both Europe and UCL that had a chance at challenging us have gotten much better, and we've simply gotten worse.

Agreed. I don't even know why I've bothered following the transfer gossip this summer. What a pathetic fucking mercato it's been. I've given up all hope we'll sign the couple of guys we need.

We're not the same squad that won in Madrid. José got everyone playing at 110% of their abilities. He got players like Motta and Pandev becoming World Beaters and Rafa can't offer the same motivation. We lost a manager and replaced with a Coach.

Well put, winning the CL does not automatically make us the best team in Europe, even Mou himself knew we weren't the best team but he had us play to our strengths, he said so himself. Winning the CL puts a big red target on your back for the rest of Europe, they are going to do everything they can to figure you out. Milito and Sneijder are going to be marked like hell this season. You can always improve no matter how good you are, better teams have won the CL and flopped miserably the next season...

What doomed Milan was not that they didn't buy any stars (hardly they had a team that lacked them at that time). What doomed them, was that they didn't think about what will happen after 4, 5 years, and didn't think about young players to come to the club, who would have enough abbility to replace the key players overtime.

This is NOT the case with Inter.

So guys, stop panickin, and stop embarassing our club by comparing it to the worse brother, who did a very louzy job over past 5 years.

We seem to be focusing on CL itself when comparing against other teams. We also looked uncertain in the league near the end. Bottom line is, we do need improvements. Not just squad players but first team starters.

I think thats right, but I also think there is a little bit more. The key to success in my opinion is to care about the now and the future. Milan didn't think about the future. They ended up with an aging team and no motivation. We have done great regarding this in this transfer window and secured many talents which will be ready in few years.
But I think we totally ingnored the now in this transfer window. We ignored the first team, which can end up as bad as ignoring the future.

Yes, but like I said in the Mercato evaluation thread, maybe our board looked that it's better to put effort to the future than trying to raise the level of our current team even more. The limit of spending power comes at some point if you keep just raising the level. And since those FFP rules are coming into play, the limit comes sooner than later. I know many other clubs are not talking about FFP and mostly Inter is the only club doing it. But believe or not, the rules are still coming. And as Inter is not generating that much money compared to the expenditure, maybe it's just wise to think about the future a bit more. We can't win Scudetto every year, that is inevitable fact.

We need Robinho. Let's be serious, we need a bit more depth there.
Benitez looks at the bench and he has Biabiany, Mancini or Mourinho look at the bench and they have Van der vaart, Adebayor, Milner or Benzema.

Javier Zanetti,
We had a great summer last year, buying five world class players. This year it's like Moratti has no intention in strengthening the squad just because we won the CL. Mourinho has left us and that's like losing Zanetti. We need a striker that can play with Eto'o and Milito. Pandev is not good enough to be in the starting line-up. I would like to see Forlan joining us. That would be great.
