It's clear that in a few years our defending department will need new blood, so it is a very smart move to attain players as of now. Obviously we are strongly linked to Ranocchia and Bonucci, and those are two very good options for the future. Now that Mourinho has parctially left, I hope we still carry on with these guys.

I've been trying to think of any other alternatives to these two and like I've said countless times before P), we should also take a look at Santacroce. IMO he's a class player with a lot of potential, and young as well. He was unfortunate to have a serious knee injury this past season which prevented him from attracting big clubs but hopefully this upcoming season he will truly make a name for himself.

Seems Recalcati called up Criscito's agent Sandro Gedda, to ask about Criscito's future regarding Genova and Juventus. Gedda mainly said Criscito wants lots of playing time and a place where he can improve. During the interview Recalcati also asked about Inter to which Gedda said Criscito would be extremely happy playing for the European Champions, but nobody has contacted him.

Not an outright link but nice to hear...I wouldn't mind having Criscito at all. He can play CB or LB so he would be a good option if we can't get Kolarov...

Why's that? He is currently one of the better right backs out there. Santon is not ready to be relied on yet.

Eboue is better RB than him by miles, although this year Wenger was rotating him.

I agree Santon is not ready and not reliable enough to be constant starter, but still, i'd rather use him than Sagna

Ramos natural position is actually CB, at real he was moved to the flank.. Ramos is great player, won't leave Real unfortunatelly.. And we don't need him since Maicon will stay

Yes, and that guy is totaly overrated and mistake prone.

His biggest quality(by far) is his bombing forward, but defensively he is hilarious.
I mean, even Maicon needs Zanetti as a cover, and Maicon is like 10X better than Ramos when defending.

Rotating? If by rotating you mean everytime Sagna was tired he came on. Eboue was played mostly in the midfield this year, Sagna is the hands down starter for both Arsenal and France. He is solid and gets up and down the wing well. Sergio Ramos would be a better replacement due to his potential. However he's definitely not an option. We could do much worse then Sagna (eboue) trust me.

But he does not play at that position regulary since Sagna came to Arsenal. The Frenchman has taken his place and is definitely top 5 right back at the moment.

I rate Maicon and Alves better than Sagna, Bosingwa is on the same level.
