We desperately need AM but to give them Maicon, I don't think that is a good idea.

Well, it was reported by tutto sport, and I'm being told by lots of people here that tutto sport is a totally unreliable source.

Because we can't trust Sneijder will succeed at Italy. We made a mistake with Quaresma and if there is a chance to have the player on loan first, of course we should do that. Since there's a fixed price for next summer in the case the player is successful and worth the money. Inter is not that rich club it can afford to lose those kind of amounts of money to a players who won't reinforce the team considerably.

Every, single transfer is a risk. For every Quaresma there is one Cambiasso ;)

Anyway, I don't believe for a second that a sum for next summer is fixed. I'm sure it depends on a lot of things, such as results obtained or number of matches played etc. I don't believe either club want to limit themselves to a fixed sum one year ahead, then you might as well make the deal permanent now.

el_dude has a point which I believe I've stated earlier. Wanting players on loan may be a source of doubt for the player.

It's exactly that doubt for the player Inter are going to loan Sneijder and not buy him right now.

I mean the player doubting whether to join the club or not. If Inter wants him on loan, that might be the reason why Sneijder is hesitating.

Yes, but it seems his other option is Aston Villa at the moment, so if Sneijder isn't convinced of Inter loan, he can decide to go to Villa and play there. :D Talking about career going downhill suddenly.

It seems Inter is his best choice, yes. But I don't think he likes the idea of loan, and neither does Real Madrid it seems.

He'll probably arrive in the end unless some other club wants to buy him outright (Milan....).

The situation at the moment is great for us. Liverpool who will loose Xabi Alonso, the only team who could afford Sneijder and be top club enough that he wants, will go apparently for Aquilani (LOL).

Aston Villa is the same case like Vieira and Tottenham, but it's not about money this time. They have no chance for him whatsoever.

We're in pole position, and if nothing unexpected happens we have to get him in the end.

Loan deal is a very good deal for us, and a bad deal for Madrid. If we would get him on loan I would take this as a good move from our management. If he will not be good enough he will go for Madrid, no harm done for us. But if he'll do great we'll buy him for fixed price.

Seriously it is a win-win situation for us. Obviously I don't like 3-4 mln to pay them for the loan, but it is for the very same reason I stated in the first paragraph, and you can't have it all.

That sums it up pretty well. Sneijder doesn't have other place to go as Benitez isn't too interested. Sneijder would even have some compatriots there in Babel and Kuyt.

As Sneijder seems to be so goddamn expensive, loan deal is the only way. We can't have another quaresma now. Inter try to balance the books, so investments must be precise and right. These big investments just can not go wrong anymore, so test season is perfect to evaluate the investment first.

Hopefully this will sink the Deco rumors once and for all.

Selling Xabi Alonso to R. Madrid gives them money right? So you can't stop counting on Liverpool

Loan deal always isn't the best thing to do, and Perez we know he's a good dealer, he won't accept things like this, he would try to get the maxium economic reinvestment for sneijder

If we can manage to do a Veron/Crespo deal with Sneijder, then a very big thumbs up to our management. :star:

I think Milan will give us competition once Pirlo leaves.

If there will be some kind of auction, then Inter should back off when the figure starts to rise. 18m€ is already so high that Inter can't afford to go too much over that, when it comes to a player completely untested in Serie A. After all, we're not talking about C.Ronaldo, Ribery, Gerrard or so calibre of player.

I would prefer to take Sneijder over VDV. VDV may have more flair but is very inconsistent and not a player a top team should base their hopes on.

I meant we are in a more comfortable position to pay compared to BBilan, if BBilan wants a bidding war with us. But yes, 18million€ is too much for Sneijder, 15 at most imo.

Sneijder
If all they are asking is 18m, tell them they can have 15m now, and 3m more after Sneijder has competed in 30 matches for Inter!

The price will be worth it, and if he doesn't play 30 matches in the next year and a half, then alright, it was a bad deal. But if he plays 30 matches, then surely he will have proven himself.

But they won't sign more players, because nobody wants to have too many players, and they are quite stacked. Aquilani could be the replacement for Xabi Alonso. It would be a big suprise for me, if they would sign 2 midfielders in one place Alonso was holding.

I need to disappoint all people who were supporting the Sneider move.
The most recent news by a very close source, is telling he won't move from Real madrid. The transfer inter-real madrid agreement is absolutely nonsense.

Anyway i hope we won't go for Van der Vaart, i hope we go for Lavezzi or Deco.

I can guarantee you that in about two weeks, the media will link us with a another player called Afellay.

Damn we started to reinforce our squad so early in the season, but like always we will make a last minute buy too. Really annoying this Treq problem.
