Maniche - could be the choice of INTER staff because we all know how INTER just loves to buy players who reached their PEAK in their career.... even if I want some young fresh blood - wonderkid!
I don't want him to be signed permanently! LOAN DEAL for 6 months would be acceptable.

Menez - I don't know if he's worth 15, but I prefer him rather than Maniche.

Diego Valeri - I don't know this player but If Zanetti's statements are true, then buy him! Last time I remember he recommended Messi & Tevez. :star: :star: He would be also cheaper than Menez! Would easily adapt and has EU passport.

messi has been at barca since he was 13, not like zanetti discovered messi

and with tevez, well at the time he was available we had adriano in top form

valeri on the other hand actually fills a need, he might be worth it...

anyone got highlights of this kid?

ok did some youtubing of this guy

PROs:
1. this kid has vision beyond his years!!!
2. he loves to sidefoot the ball, since it gives him unbelievable accuracy and weighting on his passes and shots
3. has great composure and can finish 1v1 with keepers

CONs:
1. no left foot, would prefer to switch feet or use outside of right foot than use the left.
2. no supreme pace, just think kaka without the ability to leave defenders in their tracks
3. everything he kicks is dead straight, little or no ability to curve the ball, maybe he just prefers it that way

best comparison? reminds me a lot of bergkamp in his later years where he often dropped back to help playmake for arsenal

i believe this kid is better than menez for us now...

he doesnt supplant diego as no.1 choice yet

Youtube of this kid.

Great vision and passing.... the you tube kicks I saw involved him taking free kicks (He's cheeky, like the goal henry scored from a free kick before they were ready), to me seemed like he can curve the ball fine, but I don't think I saw him using his left foot. Though that said he's only young and we can develop!

He does seem an exceptional talent, and very cheap too.

he was recommended by zanetti when he was at west ham last summer

and we almost signed him, except impatient moratti told him to sign by like thursday night and he didn't want to rush his decision.

What does Zanetti's comments really mean? He said something like Valeri and himself would be in the same team soon. Was that dreaming, a "should-be" situation or is Inter really after Valeri? Perhaps our legend Capitano has dropped a hint to everyone here...?

Anyway, Valeri is a gamble. There is great difference between the club he plays now and Inter. But then again, all of our transfers have paid off in recent years.

I now trust Branca, Oriali and co. They'll figure it out.

I don't think I saw him using his left foot.

I saw one cross for goal with left foot for guy called Blanco or something. He looks hot on that video and I would bring him because el capitano word is enough for me.

He's also much better purchase from Maniche or Momo Sissoko, I watched that Sissoko guy couple of times and he didn't impress me at all. Actually he can't do anything and I would happily leave him to Juventus.

Yes, i do agree.

Being a 2ndary liverpool fan I've watched Sissoko loads of times.

He's rubbish.

His passing and touch are atrocious, one incident vs Man Utd (not the recent match, last season) he touched the ball and it went straight up about 20 feet into the air...

His passing is atrocious, I think he has probably a 10% pass completion rate.
He's lazy, doesn't attack well, doesn't chase up, doesn't close in, he's a rubbish footballer.

You got all that from Youtube???:p

Seriously thought you are spot on. I thought of him as a taller stronger Stankovic, he has a powerful right foot shot as well. Still the only thing good about him is that he is Tractore approved, we cant judge much by youtube, if you know what I mean.

According to C4 and goal.com :

‘Corriere dello Sport’ suggests that Inter are joining the race to sign the 22-year-old. The Italian newspapers maintain Sissoko could be available for as little as £5m and, at that price, Fiorentina are also showing an interest.

I am also worried about his technique... but he's still only 22...
How good are this guy's passing skills? We all know Vieira can pass - CM [2way mid] not only DM!
I am tempted to compare Sissoko to Diarra [Real Madrid].

Which one is better?

Diarra is better by a country mile and then some... Momo is a joke the guy cannot even pass two feet forward in front of him, he's fine putting pressure on the opposition and disrupting them but he is a absolute shambles at everything else.

On this Valeri kid he sounds interesting, but I would still prefer someone with European experience, yes we are building for the future but we also need to think about now, we need someone who can come straight into the squad and play without too much hassle IMO, Valeri would probably be a better option the end of the season.
