They won everything under Benitez, who is an offensive coach. Valencia have terrible Backs, they use a new RB every year, and their LB isn't that better either. Also, Marchena isn't that good, Ayala and Canizares bail him out.

About the DM's, you are talking about Albelda. It's true that both him and Baraja were the best duo in the world, but Baraja tends to go forward alot and his high number of goals attest to that.

Just admit that you screwed it with Ayala. For me and many others, he's been the best in the world so far in this decade. Too bad he doens't play in a big club otherwise he'd be regarded one of the best ever.

No, I don't care whether you screwed him or not. I was just pointing out the media bias against us, if we did to Ayala, oh god forbid. It would've been the subject of a UN resolution.

I said that Benitez came to Valencia after Cuper and they won everything under him. You were saying that Valencia were successful because they had a defensive approach, which isn't true.

And the fact that you haven't seen much of him is my point. He doesn't play in a glamourous club and hence he is underrated.

Nah..I meant their tactics were based on counterattack against big teams in Europe..I only watched that Valencia matches..

Not really, the fans booed Cuper out because he was employing this tactic. They relied on brilliant play by their midfielders, namely Vicente and Baraja. They didn't really use counterattacks, besides Vicente was a LW but doesn't know the ABD of defending.

Just admit it, Ayala has been the best in the past 5 years. :D

I gotta say that in my opinion Ayala is OVERrated, I know many people consider him one of the best but it's a bit of a mistery for me...

Overrated? Now that's news to me. Ayala is the most underrated defender in the world. Why else can't a guy who stops the likes of Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo, Ronaldinho, Eto'o and others who are the best attackers in the world, be recognzied?

I never hear his name when great defenders are mentioned? If he played with Real, Barca or ManU, he'd been all over the news?

Terry is one of the best defenders now! How can you say he's not in the same league as Ferdinand and even Puyol!?

And you can add Cordoba to that list too. :D
