Innocent until proven guilty. Not the other way around.
Sorry for the offtopic, but let's be realistic for a second. Only the biggest people from pop culture and politicians get the privilege of "Innocent until proven guilty".

In any case, this is a bad look for us and for Serie A. Even if he is proven innocent, a lot of people don't continue checking up on the news and will keep spreading the rumour that we have a racist in the squad. This is going to be a PR disaster. I don't think Juan Jesus would lie about it, because lying about racist comments usually brings death threats with it. Hopefully it was a lot more innocent than how it looks.

We say a lot of things in the spur of the moment. If he said something like "you black bastard", I wouldn't really call it a horrible racist comment, just a mean comment that can rile you up. If he said something like "go climb a tree, you Brazilian monkey" yeeeeah, that would be bad. So at the best, it was something that made Juan Jesus uncomfortable, but not something that would make Acerbi look like Il Nuovo Mussolini.

Edit: only now I've seen what Acerbi supposedly said. Yeah, sounds amazingly stupid from Acerbi. He should take the L before it gets worse.

Even if one could justify “go away ngr” as being a careless provocation, the “you are just a ngr” reflects some deep prejudice. This is where everyone should draw the line
100% hit it in the head. Exactly what I wanted to write next.

I still believe Acerbi doesn't deserve to get ban and media should leave him alone.
He was only angry and he said something that he taught is normal that wasn't, that's it.

It's 21st century for God's sake, no body is racist anymore but people are not polite specially in sports so don't get them wrong when they insult each other during physical contact or encounter.
I'll send you youtube videos about institutional racism in USA. Racism is still going strong in the "land of the free"

I predict him getting a suspension by the league, which means he wont be seen until te end of the season. He will get the Scudetto medal, which he deserves, and then we will end his contract... then he will either retire, or sign for a mid club.

If this was any of the younger players he would still stay here, but Inter wont want bad press cause of a 36 year old.

But if Acerbi said "black", where exactly is the racism? Because JJ is actually black.

It's the context that matters, not what words he said. If he really said "you are just a negro", that's actually just as bad as saying "monkey" or any of the other racist words. He is implying he is better than him, because he (Acerbi) isn't a black, that his colour of skin is more important. That's the subtext of what he is saying and it's not a good look for Acerbi.

I see. I think "nero" means black on Italian, not negro, which is offensive.
Definitely very dumb decision of Acerbi to lie afterwards.
I was better to admit it and say something like, it was because of the heat of the game and I don't think it really...

Maybe there are still a few folks out there who buy into this crap, but I'm pretty darn sure they're not the pro footballers in Europe's top leagues or successful folks. Nope, they're more likely just some losers – and Acerbi sure ain't one of 'em.

So, sorry guys, but I'm not buying this garbage. Sure, you might slip up and say something rude to a woman, but that doesn't mean you're against all women or some big sexist.

Lol people are so sensitive these days. I'm not defending racism by any means, but overreaction is getting out of hand. He should be punished according to rules and principles, but people need to chil the fuck down.

So now after justifying racism we are onto justifying sexism...Do you want to keep digging?

oh well... hope to see Bissek as pure CB now lol, paradoxically a guy who is much more black than JJ
Against weaker sides a defense Pavard-Bissek-Bastoni can be way more useful as all 3 are offensive threats

I just feel like people are blowing things out of proportion these days. Racism, sexism, feminism, and all that jazz seem to be everywhere, and the media loves to hype it up, especially when it comes to our club, which is in the running for the scudetto.

I mean, if someone gets labeled as racist just for saying something like that, then practically all of us would be labeled sexist for the stuff we say in our everyday chats.

I'd rather use Bisseck - Pavard - Bastoni in this case.

or

Pavard - Bastoni - Bisseck/Carlos Augusto

I don't think Inzaghi has the balls to put Bisseck in the middle and I also don't think he should

The others didn’t make huge campaign of unity, equality and make it a trademark of their team they way Inter has, stop seeing ghost. It’s only natural that a player on a team who speaks so loudly about equality, world brotherhood get this attention when their own representatives can’t live up
To it…

Latest report actually show growing racism and discrimination on the field among players…

This is just another point that a team that use this so much, better make bloody sure their own players have a clean past and that they live up to it. And that it’s strictly enforced.
Meh, the NBA does this too. Talk about equality and everything but when Trez called Luka bitchass white boy, there was nothing done.

I personally side with JJ now that he gave his statement and that's pretty bad on Acerbi's side but I wouldn't go as far as terminating his contract or shit. Whatever FIGC gives out as punishment should be enough imo.

This is even not a matter what is wrong or right. Acerbi is dumb, because he knows how easy people are triggered these days on potential racist talks, so he could have said something else instead.

I would, just for the fact that this is the right opportunity for us to make a move on the market while we also save face. Acerbi played better last season anyway, so I don't expect a high standard from him next season.
