And we could score two more goals, Barella and Thuram. So, to claim we are delusional thinking that we are better than Atletico is not really correct. It's a fucking single game, unfortunate equalizer at the end. But we were better in both games. Shortly, fuck Atletico. There is always next year.

They where talking us up like we where some sort of Manchester City, it’s was just utterly delusional to an unhealthy degree. People thought we where better than Atl madrid, that we would beat a year long curse in Spain and that against a man who only lost 10% of all home games in CL… it was more then just a bit delusional.
There was nothing wrong in thinking that. It was 50-50 at worse all the time. Problem is that too many thought we will not have any problems with them to the point Atletico was crazy underrated. I guess that's why so many are now angry and looking for victim(s) cause they taught this is job done, especially after that first leg, and we are just waiting for next opponent. They thought that just one scenario is an option here.

Still not finished listening new Inter Jection episode but I see there is a "Is Inter overrated?" chapter and I don't think it is despite this loss. We deserve every praise we got. In some other universum under the same circumstances we got past Atletico and are one of three or four favourites for CL after City,Real and Bayern. This was realistic scenario and doesn't mean it was not just cause we got out. I saw better teams got knockout out on a big stage and that doesn't mean they were overrated. Leverkusen almost got out against Qarabag in EL,does that mean they are not good enough? And I can assure you it was not only us talking about how good this team is but we got recognition all over the Europe from a serious people following football. For all "balkan people" I can add this:

Of course what happened in some other universum under the same circumstances means shit now cause you have no result on the paper in CL to show. But don't disrespect this team cause we got out against Atletico. It happens. Maybe for us more than for some others but it is what it is now. Mentality all around the team should be the same it was after we lost scudetto to Milan, after this scenes at the beginning of the video:

To return next season stronger and accomplish more. We didn't won scudetto last year but CL run was that more in the end. Let's have the same mentality, goals, hunger and support now.

Simeone never lost a home game with Atletico in knockout stages in CL. Some people were too cocky when they were claiming we are clear favorites against them. They look stupid now so only what they can do is to bash our players, call Thuram shit like Lukaku, Lautaro being choker etc etc, they do that just to prove that they were right but our players fucked up, and too many misses costed us to win that tie. But they were wrong from a get go. Atletico has a better roster than us, more experience in games like these in CL, Simeone is a master. Making fun of them, calling them Pathetico, geez, I thought that I was reading beelan forum. That tie was 50-50,we lost and thats it. I just hope we will bounce back soon and clinch scudetto, lets hope it starts tonight!

103 would do it. 20th Scudetto and possible most points record. Sounds good to me.

To be honest we had more important opportunitys to score. In the first leg we could have won easily 3-0 and in the second we had 2 incredible chances to score. Saying that Atletico won because they have more experience, is wrong. We were just unlucky and wastefull. Theyre roaster is not better. They have more options upfront (Griezman, Depay, Correa, Morata), thats also why they were dangerous and scored at the end, while we could bring only Sanchez. But let's be honest, before Depays goal it could be easily 2-1 for Inter.

Well said. Atleti was never an easy opponent, specially when people thought them losing to Cadiz means we should steamroll them. Teams lose to the much inferior teams all the time. It doesn't mean anything.

We had our chances, we blew them and we lost the tie. Hope they learn from this experience and come out stronger next season.
