would rather see how does living look from a perspective of a worker in hotel, cleaning lady or the garbage man
that would paint a more realistic picture of what I am asking about
There are three different worlds within the UAE, at least Dubai.
The local elite. Well, no comments.
The services industry, lots of permanent workers and even more who reside there temporarily for business.
Then you have the workers who are typically south or east Asian (India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Philippines etc).
Nothing to envy from the third group, but the money is probably better than Europe. For some, the conditions as well.
For the second group, which is your typical "western" migrants or workers, you have an awkward party scene available and a glamorous lifestyle but working hours may be suffocating for some so you cannot even enjoy that.
And when you go to the hotel swimming pools or the beach all you see is Russian or other eastern European girls.
These are the only people who are in the Emirates for the lifestyle because their version is rather fake. Everyone else is there to make money.
Sundays are a bit odd because the locals are working but everyone else isn't but it's changing.
