I prefer not to play Motta because the last time he played against Barcelona in the group stages he screwed big time. He was at fault for Barca's first goal. Our midfield must consist of Cambiasso, Stankovic and Sneijder. Maybe Motta can enter in the second half for helping the defense if everything goes well.

Motta played like shit during those months on all matches, he and his self-confidence has had a drastic improvement lately though, and this is a different, more self-assured Motta, who also knows his duty on the match much better now.

Problem is, many of the current Barca squad know Motta very well and I have yet to see him demonstrate he can defend against a system he was once deemed surplus for...If nothing else, I don't even believe he believes deep down he's cut out for defending against Barca...There's a big mental divide there, IMHO...Plus, he's simply one of those players who is prone to getting 'stuck in' too much and in a tie like this, represents a player that can result in your side going down a player.

I think he'd be a big risk for you guys

Lol at you guys saying Ibra should get an applause for what he did. He won't get it. This isn't his first time he's playing against us in our ground and we really shouldn't applause him. We should whistle against him. He says he loves it when the opposing fans whistle and it makes him play better. Well, Juve fans always whistled against him and he never scored a goal against them.

Let us not take example from jube fans - I say give the man an applause! That's the least he deserves.

I don't want him to feel at home anymore. This is a CL semi-final. Our fans should make the other team scared, not happy.

With these two sides and having already played in the group stage, I just don't see fear entering into it, especially from the fans

and strangely enough, they are the most aggressive tackling team i've seen in a while.....not tackling in terms of sllding/dirty tackles, but they heckle opponents with small kicks and grabbing of shirts....it is really amazing the amount of shirt pulling they get away with..
And what pisses me off, is how much they get praise for "beautifull play" when at the same time, they leave "details" like that aside and don't talk about it.

Let us not take example from jube fans - I say give the man an applause! That's the least he deserves.
He already got that. Now he should get trashed

Look at Henry example. Arsenal fans didn't even wait for the second game. He got applause when he entered the pitch, and got booed by the whole stadium 30 sec later

Put it this way, Mou at the end of the day really adores the Premiership and will like to get back there. However after his failure at Chelsea and so far at Inter to pick up the CL he won't go if he doesn't win it with us. However he's made a career out of doing what isn't expected so I think he'll win us the CL this year, then unfortunately be gone... though we'll still love him..

TBH, it really worries me why so many care about CL when we've a fuck of an away game to play before it,.

lmao

when last did you see a barca game?

apart from Ibra, Yaya, and sometimes Keita, the entire team is a bunch of pansies who go to ground on the slightest contact

I'd say there are only two players who can be accused of easily going down, Dani & Busquets...But to suggest the team is a side of pansies is nothing more than a wum, son. :nono:

Comments like this suggest you have never seen Barca play with any sort of regularity because it hardly describes Barca - only the opponents they usually face

See, Barca are the best by far club team I've ever seen, don't mean we can't beat them though especially with Mou in charge...

Don Andres, Mes
arsenal already did that way, they used 4-2-3-1 and try to attacking and outscoring barca, and what's the result ?

What Arsenal did wrong was that their defenders were playing high up on the pitch and they didn't close down / pressure. Either you 'park the buss' and have 10 men behind the ball or you move up your team and close down and pressure not to get punished. What Arsenal did was just an invitation to get destroyed by a team like Barcelona. If you want to move up your team you have to play simple passes looking for 'triangel' passes and always think one step ahead (if you pass to a teammate you have to see if he has an option to pass a safe pass).
But on the other hand, Inter is no Arsenal. Silvestre and Vermalean are no Samuel and Lucio. Song/Denilson are no Cambiasso. Sagna is no Maicon... and so on. Arsenal also missed a lot of players (so did we, but to be honest their squad was in a worse shape than ours).
But like I said, their biggest mistake was to push up the team and than fail to put pressure on us when they lost the ball. If you watched the game we hunt in 'packs' - as soon as we lose the ball we hunt in 2's - 3's and close down angels so the other team can't find a good pass. Just as some people has said in this thread, football is a team effort and Barcelona is really functioning like a team. Arsenal played like headless chickens without any tactics and a crappy defense. You guys are great tacticians, you're organized and have a superb defense.

sounds like someone is offended...

the entire team (bar ibra, yaya, and to some extent, keita) goes down very easily...from puyol, to pique, to iniesta e.t.c.

and i watch barca regularly enough and i know how they play....you are a barca fan, so it is obvious you would try to defend them

you cannot convince me otherwise, so please do not try.....i know exactly what they do on defense

Milito, Cambiasso, Balotelli, Materazzi etc... all do the same. What point are you trying to make?

Stankovic too. And so does Eto'o and Maicon etc etc.

I think his point is, Barcelona players are only ever praised for their beautiful football play, and that people seem to think they are incapable of the "dirty" side of football, niggling fouls, shirt pulling, diving etc.

I love this tho:

It's such a cute, tentative little dive. Poor Xavi.

every team has divers, no exception

and it's really embarrassing seeing an inter fan say that barcelona are a team of divers because the reality is that inter dive twice as much as barca if not even more

never call someone ugly before looking in the mirror first

Danial Alves is a player i really hate, everytime i see him on the pitch it just pisses me of, and he is overrated as well in terms of his perfromances.

Busquets recently also goes down every chance he can, in the Arsenal match he takes the medal though, there was one dive i mean he just wanted a trophy for it or something, it was absurd to see that.

Inter dont dive as much as people say, in recent years i can recall Cruz, Balotelli and Materazzi are the most who can go down easy but other than that there isnt really.
