STOP COMING WITH AN EXCUSE EVERYTIME THERE HAS TO BE A DISCUSSION OVER MANAGEMENT.
I know things wont change overnight but what the fuck is the plan? Whats the explanation between these senseless deals?
I'm totally giving up some time before we get back on track but it doesnt look promising with Zhangs. He's insisting on something that doesn't work anymore. It's clear they can't keep up to date.
We got away miraculously with a CL final and also managed to bounce back in the league (also thanks to our rival's incompetence). But I'm afraid a huge disappointment is ahead of us... and FFP and other bullshit isn't gonna be the excuse
How is this deal senseless? We're about to get 25 mil plusvalenza which will allow us to sign one of the best younger midfielders in Italy (hopefully) right now
Anyway, irrespective of what you think or feel, the only new owner that can magically fix this problem for us is a sugar daddy willing to - literally - pump in hundreds of millions if not billions into Inter. That's very unlikely to happen, so dreaming about it is like dreaming that Elle Macpherson is gonna hook up with me. Just a waste of everyone's time.
A realistic owner will make some difference (hopefully wiping out our debts, reducing our losses every season), but we're going to be basically in the same situation we are in now. We might be able to spend a little bit more, but fundamentally, this club doesnt make enough money to compete at the level that we all want it to compete at. There's a reason why only Juve have shown any consistent progress in the CL in the last decade from any Italian team, and they managed that by pumping in like 500-1000 (cant remember the exact number) million in re-capitalisation...
Rejuvenation is part and parcel of any football club - Broz is still fairly young, 31 soon, but its healthy to maintain a good rejuvenation policy. I'm more gutted about Onana, but to be honest, if Onana+Brozovic allows us to bring in 3-4 new players (say, Frattesi, Binneck (spelling), Trubin, and a new striker) as a starting point, its not entirely bad for us. We have a lot of players leaving/left this summer, so we really need to rejuvenate - its not a voluntary thing, and because of so many 35 year olds, theres not loads of plusvalenza in the squad. Brozovic is probably in the most overloaded position we have in the team - if its not him, its Barella, Bastoni, Lautaro, and I'd rather keep all of those guys over Broz.
Also, its not so much making an excuse for existing management - they have their pros and cons - its more your unrealistic expectations that a change of ownership is gonna make everything better. Seriously, if thats what you're hoping for, I can tell you its extremely unlikely, and that the pain we feel ATM as Inter fans is likely to last for a while to come. Realistically, a new owner might inject in enough cash to clear our debts, and then insist that we're self financing. That'd be maybe £500m of cash injection on top of any purchase price (clearly less if Zhang defaults and it goes to Oaktree). Without interest accrual, self-financing is easier, but we'd still probably end up having to cut salary and amortisation costs.
To 'fix' Inter, you really need like a 4 prong attack. Italy as a country, and as a league, needs to sort their economy out and get driving international TV Rights etc. We need to have our own stadium. We also need to have significantly improved commercial deals (record breaking level in Italy). And then on top of that, we really need to get better at scouting and developing younger players. We could still end up being a Premiership feeder club, but at least then we could get a cycle of plusvalenza and use it to invest into the team
