I don't care if Dzeko stays. He's probably just fine as the bench forward. He was even great as a starting forward for the first 4 months of his Inter career.

Some odd recency bias here as people seem to remember only his last 5 months.

Sportitalia claim Edin Dzeko turned down a proposed move to Juventus over the weekend, as he is determined to have his say at Inter.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has fallen down the pecking order at San Siro following the return of Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.
Even if Alexis Sanchez does leave by terminating his contract by mutual consent, then Paulo Dybala is likely to come in as a free agent.

According to Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Juventus made a formal offer to sign Dzeko over the last 48 hours, but the striker rejected it.

At the same time, Dzeko also arrived early for pre-season training, showing how much he is determined to make his mark with the Nerazzurri.

The 36-year-old arrived last summer from Roma, scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 48 competitive matches last season and is under contract until June 2023.
It is hardly the first time Dzeko has been linked with Juventus, as his hold-up play and work-rate make him a favourite target for coach Max Allegri.
Dzeko knows Juventus club is corrupt so he wants nothing to do with them. Prefers to stay on Inter bench than get dirty.

Any quotes where Džeko said something about Juventus or are we just inventing what Džeko knows/feels?

I am not mad for giving him high wages since Roma knew we desperatedly need striker and we had bags of cash from selling Lukaku. I am mad we chose to rely on 35 years old striker instead of buying dynamic Tammy Abraham on the basis of "Serie A proven" :palm:.

When did we have the chance to get Tammy Abraham? I don't think we had money for Tammy and also he is probably content being at Roma right now

...while Džeko was not needed at Roma anymore, so that is why it was easier to get him

There were rumors that Chelsea offered him or Werner + cash for Lukaku, but Inter declined.
