4.5M and 6M there's not a huge difference. Lautaro deserves that wage now, considering Hakimi is on 5M and first year here from the get go. We'll be releasing some of the contracts anyway plus sales.

But Im afraid its not that easy. Conte is gone, agent sees his big payday for himself and his 2 big priced assets Lauti and Hakimi when PSG and Atleti/Barca comes along. Hakimi rumored 10M a season, Lautaro probably same, plus millions for agent.

About that 90m€ not matching the 4.5m salary. Well of course it does not match. Thing is we want to keep Lautaro at 4.5m as we rate him as 4.5m player. Thus the price for 4.5m is 60-70m, we aren't selling him for 60-70m because we want to keep him a player who's 60-70m rated. And if someone offers more, like 6m salary and 90m to us then he can go. So we rate 6m player (in that position, at that age and potential) worth 90m and we will sell at that price.

So it's 4.5m and stay or the agent comes in with an offer from another club of 6m to the player and 90m to Inter or he's going nowhere (this as a negotiaton standpoint).

Not really. The higher the salary is, the harder you can sell him in the future because the buyer already spent their funding on the new salary.

Most of the 90+ transfers up to now didn’t get anywhere near 6m before. Joao Felix was the most recent (exclude Ronaldo for obvious reasons).

On the other hand, Harry Kane has been peaked for a while and fully deserved what he was/is paid, but no one can afford it+transfer fee. Well, Barca sold Suarez for 6m for a reason.

You missed the point. The salary reflects the valuation the club has for the player. If we give Lautaro 4.5m€ salary, we value him maybe at 60-70m€ (maybe bit more). Meaning if someone offers that, we don't sell because we value him at that value and thus pay him accordingly because we want to keep him. But if someone offers us 90m€ we sell because we don't value him to that valuation (and thus we haven't offered him 6m€).

How when players move for 50 plus million when they are on starter wages after a year or two at their club?

Inter did the scouting, investment and development of the player, while Lautaro has signed the contract until 2023.

He currently earns €2.5 million a year and seemingly rejected a €4.5m offer (an adjustment agreed for some time). That`s almost double, not even talking about the signing-on fees.

Let`s not forget about the challenging post-pandemic climate before getting greedy!

Agent should come in with a €90m offer or have him sign the new deal.

He looked like hot garbage, so did most the team. They move the ball so slow. The pitches in South America also don’t help the spectacle.

What do you think will happen if we don't sell now and he doesn't sign a new contract? Genuine question.

I have no idea how much Inter can get next summer for him with 1 year left of his contract. Can we expect 80+mil offer? He will have developed further, maybe it's possible?

If no covid he would be easily 90m+, but at current climate maybe 70-80m + some bonus can happen? I wish City dont get Kane and would go for Lautaro as Aguero has left. There are also some rummours that Atletico Madrid have some interest at Lautaro?

I think It would be right time to sell him now as he didnt want renew with us!
