i didnt watch tonight's game but if you consider the results of our key rivals, this was a ludicrously important win. 5 points closer to the Scudetto. If we win our game in hand that's 11 points clear of 2nd place. That's pracically some top tier Allegri-Juve level shit there.

I was looking over our fixtures for the season, it really didnt clock for me until I did that we've only lost twice in the league this whole damn year. Obviously we all know what happened vs Milan, as well.

In the second half of this year i really started to like how conte start to manage games with his linups and his subs, unlike in the start of the year that i hated him so much because of his stupid linups and his pussy subs, im really hope he not back to his stupid and pussy subs thing again, i cant understand why player that good enough for the national team is not good enough for conte and he prefer some usless shit like gags.
I really hope to see sensi play insted of brozo next game and not this fucking gags again, and also i hope that conte understand how usless young has become, i cant remember 1 good thing he do all this year, hope for perisic or darmian next game.
Bravo for the win but i hope we no going to see this kind of pussy approach in next upcoming games...

In the last 11 league games, we have not been behind. That's incredible

There clearly has been a turnaround. And this isn't some amazing improvement in coaching or tactics, it is just abandoning what everyone knows to be stupid. Expecting your midfielders to fall to defensive positions, expecting your defenders to be playmakers and keep pushing ahead, were all known to be stupid things. What we have done so far is just doing very basic things well.

But for next season, and especially for CL, we have to take a step ahead. Getting dominated by likes of Bologna and Parma is no way to do well consistently. We have to get rid of this approach where the opposition can make merry with the ball while we have 8-9 men behind it. And then have no avenues to release the ball since all of them are too deep, and it is too much to expect your only man up front to fight with 2-3 players to keep the ball.

Bastoni was an assistant to our goal 2 days ago. A defender.

It’s always been after the winter break would decide where we are as a team. The mentality has changed, the balance has come and only a terrible situation could derail where we’ve come to. If we win our game in hand against Sassuolo, we should be a lock. As usual, I’m cautiously optimistic but I cared quite a lot about the mental fragility of this team and we seem to have overcome that hurdle. Kudos to the toupee.

I've just realized that the remaining fixtures' schedule is actually very good for us. The last three games of the season are against Roma, juventus and Udinise. Which means that if we don't fuck it up as Inter usually do, the title could be secured before these games, which will be great.

Title can be sealed vs Sampdoria at home, as it stands.

Antonio Conte Happy At Inter & Certain To Remain Nerazzurri’s Head Coach, Italian Media Claim

Antonio Conte will remain Inter’s head coach for next season and possibly beyond, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Gazzetta dello Sport‘s online edition said nobody would consider the idea of parting company with Conte this summer, especially if the Nerazzurri secure the Serie A title as is likely.

Conte is happy with life at Appiano Gentile, thanks in part to a relationship with his players that he has described in the past as ‘special’.

Inter have not discussed a new contract with Conte yet but the report said they could well sit down at the end of the season, in order to avoid Conte starting next season with only one year left on his deal.

Conte will begin his third season at Inter with even greater motivation than the previous two, the Milan-based publication suggested, hoping to make the club a dominant force in Italy and make greater progress in Europe.

Qualifying from the group stage will be his minimum objective next year, while progress in the knockout stage would depend on various factors such as the draw.

Conte is under contract with Inter until the summer of 2022, with his salary set to be increased next year to €13.5 million after tax (as per the initial agreement).

GdS suggested that in addition to a contract extension, a fourth-choice striker would also be necessary if Inter wanted to improve in the UEFA Champions League.

Fuck me, I sure hope we don't extend his contract without seeing how he performs in CL next season.

he's taken a club that barely made 4th, from an awful decade, to 2nd by 1 point to presumed winners this season. Yes, europe hasnt been great, but he should stay on account of the league performance alone. The one thing I would saay is that if we crsah out in the group staages, reduced compensaation is probaably th eright thing if we fire him.

Next seaason we must win the league agian (though lets see how the summer window goes given our finnacial situtaion), with an R16 or hopefully QF CL.

For me personally, the key thing is progress. Under every coach since Mourinho, we've shown stop/starts - some progress but then a complete plummet. He's managed two seasons now without a complete death in form, which deserves credit, aand our team is continuaally getting better. Our players improve, he deserves another shot next season. Aa good CL performance is a amust though.

Yeah we need make noise in Europe after this season. Three disappointments would be more than bad. But we will be better next CL run. This team started to grow after the CL exit. Next season we will be tougher given we won't decrease in quality when it comes to the squad.

2. I'm going to put this one on Conte. We play exactly the same every game almost to the tee. It's obviously worked thus far but there have been times throughout the season where we know something new needs to come into place. The 3-4-1-2 formation failed but it shouldn't mean that we can't switch to another formation or try a new gameplan when things are getting a bit ugly. There's nothing wrong with winning ugly at times but this Bologna game wasn't an "ugly win", it was an atrocious one. Any other day and we would've tied or even lost. We can't afford to win like this again imo.

Bologna game was a hard one for us. We didn't have full team. Some players had just recovered from covid, some had just returned from NT games 2 days before an away match. In the old days, we used to lose points every single time we come back from international break.

For sure, but surely we don't need to extend his contract before seeing how he performs next season. Or we can offer him a contract extension contingent to us qualifying for round of 16.

a coach like him will understandaably want to be rewarded. he's got a year left. That doesnt look good for anyone, tbh.

I think a new 2-3 year contract, with a termination clause if he doesnt get out of the CL group stages (or reduced compensation for example)

Financials permitting, we could and should go for the domestic double next year.

I'm not expecting anything big in Europe other than making it past the group, progress is progress.

Let's see how we go for the rest of the season, but Conte is doing very well in making me eat my words. I wanted him out in December, but we are looking like an effective machine at the moment.

only way to (realaistically/predictably) do well in the CL is to keep investing and progressing - we're so far behind the big clubs in revenue that we really need thaat latter stage matchdday, broadcast and prize

Yeah, coach like Conte with his pedigree doesn't want to go to a season without an extension in his hand. SPECIALLY if he brings Scudetto back to Inter after 10 years of no trophies (and 11 of no Scudetti).

3 year contract (2 year extension) would be quite a statement by the management. That would however give Conte the backing of the management and he'd feel very safe. A lot depends on the targets we set. Repeat Scudetto and go to quarters (well to R16 at first lol) is a reasonable target. A lot depends also what Conte wants from the market or has he got now that you gotta manage what you have. That if there's no funds, there's no additional reinforcements. Let's see. But if we retain this squad and not add much, we should definitely go to at least R16 level in CL.

There's gonna be no renewals though before the financial instability has been solved.
