I seriously doubt that as he still has contract with us and we've paid him salary for few months now.

The target was to sell him, save his 5m€ gross salary and 6.7m€ annual amortization cost. Instead we keep paying that annual amortization cost and continue paying around 3m€ piece of his gross salary. This fucking bhenchod costs us almost 10m€ for this season.

And fucking Zhang demands to cut the costs while his biggest transfer mistake is still in our books.

Yeah, I think we can sell him next summer if he doesn't tank the next season completely. We need around 7m€ transfer fee and that's it. His 2.7m€ net salary is big but as there's only 1 year left remaining of that, the buying club should be able to sign a contract long enough to cover that easily. The guy is only 28 years next summer.

tax year residency in italy is, I believe, calendar year, and you have to live there for half a year. So actually for JM for being in Itatly for like 3 months, he wont be tax resident. I do think off hand the growth decree should apply

the only reasons why not is that he'd only have one year commitment left to italy at that point and i highly doubt he goes to another club in Itatly, OR there's some clause that means if you're an italian company paying for him it doesnt count, but im not aware of one

If the season end is slightly delayed, he will have spent two years non-resident in Italy (last year doesnt count as he spent more of the year in Italy, but this year will definitely count, and next year will count if he's non-resident in Italy for even a few days in July)

a bit morbid but I believe clubs have insurance policies for all that sort of thing. I dont know what he'd be insured though, for. Probably not book value, probably some sort of notionally agreed market value

Hopefully not replacement cost, or the insurance company will ask us to pay them 10mil minusvalenza

How is he doing? Any chance we can get $100 bucks for him this summer or get him off our wages

He do well, play 12 match from all 14 match.

Sporting lead the league, just 4 points above porto and benfica. I think he can lead Sporting to win the league.

The motivation of course to regain place at Portugal NT for Euro 2020

Joao Mario has joined Sporting on a dry loan. You will certainly see him back next summer. He has one year left in his contract.

At least next year is the last year we will need to endure this saga. He will definitely be back in the summer like other have mentioned. It’s whether or not we can make any money in a sale or not. I think we’ll be lucky to get 5mill for him.

Sporting CP Want Joao Mario On Permanent Deal From Inter, Portuguese Media Claim

Sporting CP want to sign Joao Mario on a permanent deal from Inter, according to a Portuguese media report today.

As per O Jogo, Sporting CP bosses have been impressed by the Portuguese midfielder’s excellent performances in the Primeira Liga upon his return to the club, after the 28-year-old joined a season-long loan from the Nerazzurri last summer.

Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas has every intention of keeping the Joao Mario at the Estádio José Alvalade, although the report warns it will be difficult considering they are only currently paying €1 million of his €2.7 million annual salary.

Joao Mario is under contract with Inter until the end of next season but has no future at the club, having very seldom performed to expectations since his arrival on a reported €40 million deal during the summer of 2016.

During his loan spell with Sporting CP, Joao Mario has made 18 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided a single assist.

Haha they want him permanently. Only few buts:

- transfer fee, they need to pay something like 10m€ for us to avoid capital losses
- they need to pay his salary which is huge for them (maybe that can be spread over multiple years)

We're not going to be getting any transfer fee for him. He's either going to get loaned out next year to allow his contract to expire, or he will receive a golden handshake to fuck off.

So basically we'll sell him for €5m+ bonuses and pay 40% of his wages for the first 3 seasons at his new club hahaha.

Sporting CP want to make Joao Mario’s loan deal from Inter permanent, according to a Portuguese media report today.

Record report that the Liga NOS club would like to keep hold of the 28-year-old midfielder, who is on a season-long loan from the Nerazzurri.

Joao Mario’s contract with Inter expires at the end of next season and it seems certain he has no future under Antonio Conte.

The report did not offer details on a possible fee but said Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas was ready to make ‘an important investment’ to purchase Joao Mario.

Joao Mario’s wages could prove a buffer to any deal, with the midfielder earning €3 million annually, which is twice as much as Sporting CP’s wage bill allows.

He joined Inter from Sporting CP in the summer of 2016 as one of Suning’s first signings as owners, but things never really took off for Joao Mario in Milan with him very seldom performing to expectations.

In addition to this current loan spell, he has had loan stints with both West Ham United and Russian Premier League outfit Lokomotiv Moscow.

During his time with Inter, the Euro 2016 winner made 69 appearances, in which he scored four goals and provided 13 assists for his teammates.
