Dude, I agree with everything you are saying but jesus the man plays in midfield, he NEEDS to be able to track back, stick a tackle in, not be afraid of any physically duel. It's cringy watching him being so afraid of any type of duel. That's why I'm asking has he always played like this. Spurs fans were saying for the full last year he just didn't care and it looks the same. He plays with absolutely no intensity. Surely he hasn't always been like that?
Regarding being physical in his game, its just not in his playstyle - same goes for Michael Laudrup another former danish playmaker - throwning tackles left and right is just not part of their book, i think defense-wise they are both more of intercepting types.... Maybe people like them have been "taken out"/hammered immensely by tackles through out their youth careers or something?!?! or they might even think as a team we will do better if i can still make key passes, so ill avoid risking any injuries, I dunno!?!? however, the point is he has always played like this. And done really well doing so.
Regarding intensity/attitude he is as Scandinavian as they come, same goes for Kasper Dolberg another danish national player, but regardless of attitude they both deliver. No fuzz, just let the feet do the talking
However, knowing your an absolute a top-notch player that can make a difference unlocking tight defenses, and then in games that screams for these trades your still not being picked as starter must be mental hard, especially playing on a team that has lacked exactly this creativity you bring to the game, whenever faced by a tight defense.... So basically you come with the toolset needed and you know how to utilize it, however, part of putting these tools into play requires 1. the coach to play you 2. the coach to trust you and give freedom to excess your trade. Freedom meaning, not being a locked up bird in a cage e.g. constrained by some static zone shit.
How on earth would you as an individual and as a team be able to surprise your opponents and create chances if they on beforehand already know exactly how your moving patterns are in your static zone? that is like reading an old boring book and super easy to prepare against!
If I was in Eriksens shoes I would be filled with a feeling that I could deliver exactly what this team needs in abundance! if I was just allowed. Hopefully Conte will recognize that its such a waste of opportunities and quality to have one of the best play-makers in the world on the bench, or they might already have a plan rolled out that gradually he will be assimilated and play every game in a couple of months from now, who knows? Time will tell....
Don't worry. Eriksen is here to stay for the long term. Conte isn't.
4-3-1-2 but no one wants to see that shit again tbh
thing is, you can argue eriksen doesnt really work with a back 3.
In my mind, back 3 basically means you have two up front. You cant do two up front and an AMC unless you're gonna be really attacking.
4-2-3-1 would be ideal, or 4-3-1-2 but no one wants to see that shit again tbh
Just read that Erikson is starting to have doubts about the move he made to Inter. (newspaper speculation)
Hmm,
--------------- Handa
DD ---- De Vrij ---- Skri ----Young
------ Barella -- Bro -- Sensi
--------------- Eriksen
--------- Lukaku -- Toro
is one sexy line up though. It could work, but Barella and Bro would have to cover a lot of ground in this line up

If the season goes on and this guy still doesn't have a role, he's probably going to be transferred, and not for a great amount either.
Now you tell me whether you prefer to keep Conte with his Ashley Youngs and Victor Moses or keep a guy like Eriksen and build the team around him.... How many times are we going to make the same mistake?
Don't mind if we sale him. Not a big lose if you ask me. He badly lacks determination and fighting spirit, trying to avoid any contact possible. So far this purchase is a huge disappointment.
Speaking about Moses and Young. The Nigerian should ship away no matter what. Young must be prolong his contract at least for a year, I like him a lot.
Conte...I don't know man. He's a breeze of fresh air in comparison to coaches we used to have after 2010 but I really doubt his 3-5-2 will bring us some trophies.
We signed 2 WC midfielders recently: Sensi and Nico Barella.World class midfielde at Inter? Last time we signed one? Yes that was in 2009.
