Lukaku-Sanchez with the Sensi-Brozovic-Barella midfield for this one. D'Ambrosio and Asamoah on the wings, Godin-De Vrij-Skriniar at the back. The same team (swapping Sanchez with Lautaro) can play against Juve too, as we then have a NT break followed by Sassuolo.

Last bit of effort to get through the 'tough' bit of the first half of the season.

You afraid that if Lautaro plays against Barca he’ll impress them so much they’ll pay his €111m release clause?

I might be crazy but I would prefer Biraghi over Asamoah. It's a gamble but at the same time I'm almost 100% sure that Asamoah won't do well against Barcelona, even in their current form. They will not leave him an entire flank like these cannon fodder Serie A squads have in the past few weeks, and while I rate Asamoah, he isn't exactly known for dribbling and beating his opponents.
Biraghi on the other hand looked far more comfortable taking the ball forward.

Generally speaking I'm satisfied with the squad options and will be pleased regardless of who plays, in particular have no preference for starting strikers. Just don't start Vecino and it's all good with me, one way or another.

Yeah, they know Asamoah, but they don't know Biraghi. But we might need Asa's defensive minded game more for this game, and have Biraghi play at San Siro.

Can't agree with this at all. As I wrote in the Asamoah thread, I feel he's far more inclined to bring the ball forward by dribbling and keeping hold of the ball. Biraghi (based on what I saw of him at Fiorentina + his one game with us) is more of a stand and cross type, much less inclined to dribble. I don't see where your belief comes from.

This has easy win written all over it.

Defuse Frenkie and not much remains.

This is a joke right :pazzini:

Messi or not, I feel we'll do well to score a goal. I hope you can all laugh in my dickheaded face but I suspect we'll be overwhelmed and outmaneuvered fairly easily. See our trip to Camp Nou last year - Barca dominated possession outside our box for large periods of the game (as they do to everyone) and then eventually they put a few good moves together that lead to their goals. On the other hand, we had a precious few opportunities and half-chances that Lautaro squandered (as he does every game).

As someone posted, our track record at Camp Nou is dismal. All losses, zero goals. No fucking idea where this AC Milan-esque level of deluded confidence comes from. Lazio did a fantastic job against us in the first half. They evaded our pressing with relative ease and carved out a number of clear cut opportunities that were way too close for comfort. Thank Christ for Handanovic winning out over Correa. They made it look easy, retaining the ball in our final third with free flowing attacking/movement possession and keeping us camped in our box.

That's also exactly what Barca are the best at doing. If Lazio is able to do that to us, it's not a good sign unless we drastically tighten up our defensive movements. It'll be extremely tough to get a draw much less a win. Sadly, I predict a relatively straightforward 2-0 to Barca. Hope to be proven completely wrong of course.

It's easy, we must win or we contend with Slavia for an EL spot.

Barcelona can play like shit and still score 5 goals. There are no tactics for this one. The one thing we have going for us is the mobility of our midfield, which wont allow Barcelona to get too comfortable on the ball. Our only chance at a point here is if our attackers finish a play. We've created enough chances, but conversion has been poor, especially from Lautaro.

I honestly can't understand you guys...

Is this some sort of "I told you so" syndrome? And anyone here wants to be that smart kid, who will eventually quote himself and feel proud that he got it right that we will lose...

What the fuck... If not now, when is the time to dare to win?

After 10 years we finally have a team and a coach who is a genius, after years we have a midfield that can tiki taka just because the hell of it, and a defense that arguably is one of the best in the world, and all I am reading is pessimistic posts...

If not now, when you will have the balls to say that we will win? When we didn't have a midfield game and all we did was hope for Icardi to score goal out of nothing...

Some of you guys here...

What a bunch of pussies...

Agree with the comment above. I always trust Inter to win any game, I was positive we could play them last year and win, even 5 years ago, I dont care, when the match starts I can see the reality of things, but I always believe. Doesnt matter how good they are, or how bad we are.

But now, we are really good, our team isnt worse than theirs with all the injuries they have, I am positive we will go for a win on Wednesday.

I'd have the balls to say that we'd win against Barca, at their home ground, something that hasn't happened literally in years and years to any team playing against them in the CL, if we didn't look like some provincial side playing against Slavia Prague at our own home ground, barely squeezing a draw out of it in the added time...

Any rumors at the starting XI for this game?

I hope we got Alexis for this match and Lautaro against Juve
