Yeah he had his moments as a CF but certainly not enough to justify his 7M salary. ANy way he's more of a #10 settling in nicely behind the striker with nice dribbling and passing/vision. However I don't know if its laziness or lack of confidence he's not the Gotze of 2013. He peaked in the 2014 world cup and then soon as he joined Bayern under Pep it all went south. He had a weird illness when he came back to Dortmund which made his form inconsistent. Also I think this generation of Germans is averse to moving abroad (hence the strong preference of many to move to Bayern and thus remain in Germany). IMO this won't become anything more than a rumor, Gotze is at home at his boyhood club and is a favorite with management (but not necessarily the fans). Maybe a lack minutes might convince him (Gotze currently down the pecking order after acquisitions of Hazard and Brandt and Paco playing well, 9 goals already). I also don't see Gotze settling in Italy (food, culture) although serie a suits his game pretty nicely tempo wise.Favre mostly used him as a forward last season and he was decent for them. It was the first season in a while he managed to remain fit.
Just wondering, as I know we're interested in him and a lot of people here like him, how good is Szoboszlai on free kicks? Saw the one from today, was just wondering how frequent this happens, this one was quite nice.
Any midfiledr with a brain should be welcomed. Germans do well at Inter, don't they?

West Germans. Don't recall a successful German at Inter that came post-unification.
Apparently we are interested in Mario Gotze. He has a contract until next summer and refuses (for now) to sign a new deal.
I would like this deal, especially when he comes for free but in my mind he is still injury prone? He still has good years in front but it's the same thing with Chiesa, where to put him in a 3-5-2 or are we gonna switch to 3-4-3 if Inter is able to get the right players.
Yes he had a metabolic disease that made him fat... Not sure he successfully got rid of itYou guys see how fat he got?
Hasn’t been the same player since he left for bayern

Inter, Juventus and Napoli are all reportedly keeping tabs on Athletico Paranaense midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
According to Globo Esporte, the three clubs have been watching Bruno Guimaraes, a 21-year-old defensive midfielder with box-to-box potential.
As per Calciomercato.com, the Brazilian has ‘very good feet’, sustaining a 90-percent pass completion rate, and ‘incredible’ running ability.
He has also been described as a mix of Napoli midfielder Allan and Barcelona’s Arthur.
Guimaraes has a €40m release clause, but Globo Esporte warns the Italian trio face competition from Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.
