It will be interesting to see if the media reports about the fall out between Spalletti and some of then players are true or not. This is exactly what the media wants: stirring controversy. The panic has already spread to FIF.

We definitely need to be cautious. Lazio appears to be back in form, while we fail to win against below average teams. But this is nothing new, our inability to beat Sassuolo and Torino has been around for several years now.
Usually we manage to turn up against bigger teams, so the team should see this as a chance to regain the trust from the management and the fans.

These players have proven time and time again that the only thing they care about is themselves. I don't think they give half a shit about "regaining the fans trust." All of them just want the season to be over now.

How much someone wants something is most visible when things get hard - just like a penis. You can see someone wants something badly when they fight for it in the face of difficulty. When our team faces difficulties, they don't fight for it. They capitulate and they give up. Observe all the false dawns of the post treble banter era. Observe Icardi's epic misses against Sassuolo and Milan last season. Look at Spalletti's game-losing, suicide moves vs juventus last season. Look at the team against PSV and Torino for example. What I'm saying is, we have year after year, player after player, coach after coach, and game after game's worth of evidence to conclusively prove that.

This team, including the coach, doesn't deserve trust until it proves itself worthy of it.

I have put the last sentence in a way that leaves it open for a lot of misconceptions (didn't know how to express myself properly), so let me try to explain what I actually meant by that.

The way I wrote my post suggests, that I presume that the individual players want to regain the supporters trust, you are absolutely correct that it doesn’t appear to be this way.
What I meant is that I wish to trust the team (as a unit) to qualify for the Champions League again.
This is so so important for our club in order to get back to the top, even if we take baby steps every year.
If we manage to drop out of the top 4 by the end of the season it will feel like another year zero, completely erasing the progress we have made so far.
Marotta is the man with the axe and I guess we are all convinced that there will be major changes in the summer, being in CL will give us a much stronger position in order to navigate in the right direction.

I guess I got a little carried away there, but I hope this gives some context to my explanation. I don't know how to describe it any better.

Calm your tits mate. I said Lazio played the game of the season against us and I expect them to lose easy against you and you took it as gloating. How is that so complicated to see?

Reluctantly bought a ticket for this one yesterday. Something tells me I will regret seeing this.

Napoli, juve and Roma eliminated.

We better not fuck this up. But knowing Spaletti and the loser mentality of the team, I wont be surprised if we throw it away.

Looking at recent performances we are the worst team of the bunch and I'm not seeing how we're going to start playing organised goal-scoring football anytime soon.

Honestly, I don't think we deserve the Coppa the way we play. I would be happy if Atalanta wins it.

I hope it's the Lazio the last we played them and not that wrecked Juve.

I guess so because this is the third home match after Napoli? We used one ban match already in the first Italian cup match. But the crowd isn't banned, which is important.

All top teams are getting out of Coppa to focus on Serie A. Inter are a top team. :work:

Yeah we've been playing like shit recently, but in our only game in the cup, we destroyed Benevento 6-2. If we can beat Lazio then we are deserving of the Coppa Italia. I wouldn't be happy seeing Atalanta or anyone else win, as we have won jack shit in 8 years.. We desperately need to win something to maybe change things and this is the best and most realistic chance we have with the big bois out of the tournament.

If that's true what does FIF think of Politano starting after his red against Torino?

Rather him than Candreva. Rather Keita than Candreva. Question here isn't "think of Politano" starting but more why is Candreva starting when we have Keita ready to take on LW.

He's not available.
