Btw, doesn't the winner of this group face Germany if they finish 2nd :|

I think it'd be better to finish 2nd if that's the case.

From what i know you cant change your NT after you have made your senior competitive debut, i think FIFA has it as a rule. Regardless this should not be any of our concern, its only the players themselves that have a say in what they think or what they should do.

EDIT:-

FIFA regulations currently permit players with more than one nationality to represent a second country if, like Costa, he had only represented his first country in friendly matches

you can, if you only have played friendlies with the other national team. see diego costa for reference: he played two matches with brazil in 2013 before switching to spain.

unless the rule has changed again since then.

That is correct

This is right but if Messico gets first place i would say that Germany is not that great (and Messico better)

but who knows... maybe germany gets the first place or fuck up against sweden and ends third? Or Serbia beats Brazil?

Also, u can represent another country which became FIFA member after you already played official game for one. If i remember well Angloma former Inter player had played for France and then Guadeloupe. Xavi, Pique and other catalans can play for Catalonia if they gain their independence and become FIFA member. Correct me if I am wrong

So Swiss should just stay neutral when they celebrate a goal right? :D

Clearly it's political. Exactly how Swiss is he to provoke opposing fans with an Albanian symbol ? It should not be in football. Simple.

Let's end this discussion.

look gestapo, if you'll end discussion censor the disgraceful posts that started this. If it was americans making these comments and albanians were substituted for other groups, people would get banned.

You're right, I'm being lazy. I will delete the rest of the posts.

Players showing pride to their parents or their heritage doesn't mean he is not grateful or proud of his current country, the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Seems like it slides in sporting events, so FIFA shouldnt do anything to Shaqiri if they are treating everyone equally

The salute is often used by sport fans and players when celebrating victories. After winning the 1995 European basketball championship, the entire then-Yugoslav team displayed the three fingers. Sasha Djordjevic says he flashed the three fingers "not to be provocative. Just: that's Serbia, that's us, that's me – nothing else. It's my pride."[SUP][21][/SUP] Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovicraises three fingers after his victories.[SUP][22][/SUP]

The next person to make a post about politics, heritages, or feuds between Balkan countries is getting an infraction. I asked you to stop, and you continued to post. Either post about the match that was played, or bring your conversations to PMs.
