I only just recently had a look at the Serie A table (been ignoring it for a while cos of the undefeated streak) and in a blink of an eye, we find ourselves 5 points behind Napoli and in 3rd spot... so much great work in the first half of the season thrown away to fuckin Udinese & Suassolo of all teams :palm:

Fuck up against Lazio and the remainder of the season will be a frustrating uphill battle.

If Spalletti doesn't change things around we are going to lose 100%.

DDA-Candreva-Icardi combo has given us as much as it could and now everyone in Serie A has figured out how to stop it. So either change things around or lose.

Let's see if Spalletti is smart enough to change at the right time.

I think he is smart enough but we do not have the personnel on the bench to step up just yet.Hopefully Karamoh becomes potent with time.Tactically Spalletti has tried to change stuff a bit but his options are really limited because we really have a sub par bench right now.

Change of tactics doesn't necessarily means change of personnel. For example, instead of attacking from the right all the time maybe we could try attack from the left? We probably don't have the personnel for attacking from the middle but certainly do have good left-sided players.

Nagatomo and Santon can scarcely put a decent cross with their left foot and do not really provide the overlapping run for Perisic to have more space to do something.Perhaps Dalbert will come good in this department.Really wish we had gone for Kolarov in the summer.Oh well.Hindsight and all that.

Lazio are going to hammer us. Inzaghi is the best coach in Serie A by far, also their team are super reliable and can take all the punches, they still get shit done. They are rested, full strength and motivated to win now after seeing us in this deep shit.

I'm rather fearful of SMS, Felipe Anderson, Immobile and any of Lulic/Lukaku/Marusic/Basta... No idea if that Crotone game was a firework but that Immobile red card destabilised them for sure.

Spalletti has proven to be cautious in the big important games and it sort of panned out. Maybe that's what exactly we need to kickstart the season instead of fearing we can't beat Verona or Benevento at home due to poor form.
