I wonder if he knows how to hit a volley? Its like he really wants at least one touch before shooting, I remember an Inter game this season where he did this same move but the goalie saved it or he didn't hit the target.

Good awareness of time to take a touch rather than volley. Volley is much more difficult and way less accurate. If you gave time, take a touch always.

He's actually quite good at volleys. Even in his Lazio days. Candreva is the type of player I'd rather see hit a volley than a sitter.

He had a nice volley against Juve in the 2-1 win, but missed.

While CoolMan44 thinks Candreva is good at volleys, I do agree, but only if he misses up and gets lucky thus resulting in an unexpected nice attempt. This, however, is what I envision when his body does as he intends and he gets the timing just as he planned:

He will ask the fans if A: He should do more crosses OR B: He should do even more crosses.

Candreva: ‘Working on crossing’
By Football Italia staff

Inter winger Antonio Candreva shrugs off criticism of his crossing, but “it’s there to be improved”.

The Italian international was whistled before the international break, but he scored the winner for the Azzurri in their win over Denmark on Monday night.

“Maybe you think I’m hurt here and happy for the Azzurri, but it’s been a positive start, we’ve had six wins from seven games,” Candreva said in a Press conference today.

“I think I’ve done well, but of course you can always improve.

“My crossing? On the pitch you can’t think much, on a lot of crosses maybe it's gone too high or it’s gone out. It happens.

“It’s there to be improved, we work on it with Mauro Icardi in training.”

The Nerazzurri face Milan in the Derby della Madonnina on Sunday, and Candreva is expecting Vincenzo Montella’s side to be fired-up.

“They’re coming off some difficult results so they’ll be angry, but we have to be more so because we want to win.

“All we know is that we’re Inter and we must always win, or at least try. It’s too early to say how important these matches with Milan and Napoli are, but the derby can certainly give us a boost for the next one.

“We’ve changed a lot since last year, and the results give us a boost. We want to stay up there.”

For player who receive a lot of shit, Candreva plays beast mode in the derby. Repeat the trick and everything is forgiven (until the next match :D)

I think he would be decisive in our next derby, his morale is at it's best.

I'd maybe forgive him if he was my dad/child/brother/something with family. But fuck no as a fan.

That's a lie they put on the childrens' cereal boxes so they can grow up and become mindless consumers in a globalized world.

WAKE UP SHEEPLE.

A lot of credit to him he started almost everything in the first half. He was always available to get the ball and relieve any kind of pressure throughout. I wouldn't have subbed him before Valero. Bravo Candreva keep it up.

He had an easy matchup (Borini) and probably carrying a bit of confidence from the goal for Italy. His best game in a while.

I don't know who this guy is in the last two games. It's certainly not Candreva.

Probably his best match for us. Left it all on the field, I think Spalletti made the decision to sub him at the right time. The best thing I can say about Candreva, and also part of the reason why he is so damn frustrating, is that he is never fazed. He never adjusts his game, when he's made 10 bad crosses you just know he's going to try and make 11 the one that sticks. He is not afraid, he just plays his match. Which in games like this when there is so much pressure can be crucial.

In the long run we still need a Candreva replacement, but kudos to him today for a good performance.
