About benching someone, bear in mind we don't have many attacking options so I wouldn't be surprised if Spaletti had to use Cancello for that purposes at some point of the season. Then suddenly we have to use Dambo or... all 3 CBs + Dalbert. Not sure when but transfermarkt shows he played a bit on the right somewhere.

I just read that Inter is bidding again, which I really think is a dangerous game to play 2 days before the deadline. I think Mustafi can be a really good signing because, as mentioned earlier, I think most of his flaws at Arsenal were at least partially caused by huge problems in the midfield. If we could get him for that 30M I would be really happy, although paying what Arsenal paid last season might be necessary but I wouldn't mind it either.

So he has to PLAY (not start) 50% of our matches for the clause to become obligation: we have 41 matches left (36 in Serie A and if we get to Coppa Italia finals then it's 5).

I think he can reach 20 easily considering how he can also play as RB.

Ugh why are we trying to buy premier league flops, surely there's more value for money elsewhere. Even a young player like Diop who could potentially starter after some mentoring would do and at a third of the price.

Inter Milan keen on loan deal for Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi

Inter Milan have made a new offer to Arsenal for German centre back Shkodran Mustafi.

Sky in Italy say Inter are offering a £4.6m loan fee, with an option to buy for £23m which could become an obligation to buy.

Inter would have to pay the £23m fee for Mustafi if he played in 50 per cent of their games this season.

Arsenal signed Mustafi for £35m from Valencia last summer.

And Sky Sports News understands Arsenal would like to keep the 25-year-old and expect him to stay. It is also understood he remains part of Arsene Wenger's plans this season.

Arsenal's 1-0 defeat at Stoke was Mustafi's only start of the Premier League season so far and he was an unused substitute at Liverpool on Sunday, where the Gunners suffered a 4-0 thrashing.

I don't think Arsenal would be letting him go based on ability, im assuming it's a falling out. Can't see them selling him, much less for a loss, for any other reason.
