Its not about 1 guy stopping 5-6 people. Its how he organizes his defence and where hes positioned to stop the flow. In defence even being an inch ahead can make the difference. Not to mention his calming influence.
For one of the goals the ball literally rolled by Dante, TS positioning would have meant him being higher up and intercepting it.

this has nothing to do with the quality of players, the problem is that they lost all hope after the second germany goal and that they are killing them on counters

Fourth goal conceded against Colombia: penalty
They always attack, attack all together, don't get back when they lose the ball, leave too much space.
Look at this game for instance, look how many times Dante and specially Luiz are attacking and are left behind on German counters.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFTS would defo make differences. Dante and Lulz dont have good understanding. The defense has no leader. The DM is a big joke for Brazil. At least both Kroos and Khedira would have been avoided.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFI didnt say it is individual qualities. It is the defense chemistry thats missing. At least Silva will make it stronger. It is not like they concede on each counter attack before. Look at Kroos goals, nobody covered him at all. There is no organisation between DM and Defense. Silva might not save Brazil but they would avoid this humiliation for sure. Maybe to lose 2-0.
